Gi Atula Egwu is an Igbo hymn of the Anglican church. It lyrics was gotten from the book of Psalm 37 : 5. (Abu Oma 37 : 5).

IGBO TRANSLATION
Verse 1
Gi atula egwu;
Nel'anya Chineke,
Ọ nuwo is'ude-I n'akwa-i
Ọ gebul'isi gi,
Verse 2
Nime nsọgbu nk'uwa
Ọ nakwara I uzọ;
Chere mgbe-Ya abali nka
Gebi n'uboch'onu.
Verse 3
Ọ nachi ihe dum,
Ha nanu olu-Ya;
Olu-Ya nile bu ngọzi,
Uzo-Ya bu ihe.
Verse 4
Ọ setia aka-Ya,
Gini ngegbochi Ya?
MgbỌ galuru ndi-Ya ogu,
Onye gemegide?
Verse 5
Wer'ihe dum ny'Eze,
K'Ọ naroputara i!
Ọ geju i anya, i gasi,
K'ike aka-Ya ra!
Verse 6
I gahu n'izu-Ya
Kariri uche-gi,
Mgb'Ọ luzuru ọlu ahu
Nk'i turu egwu ya.

Gi mara obi-ayi,
Hur'adigh-ike-ayi;
Newelite aka-nkuda,
Gba ikpere ume!

Kwe k'ayi, na ndu n'ọnwu,
Kwusa eziókwu-Gi
Nagbasa ihu-n'anya-Gi,
Na nchebe-Gi nile.

ENGLISH TRANSLATION;
Verse 1
Do not be afraid;
Fixe your eyes on God,
He has heard your groans and cry,
He will lift your head up.
Verse 2
In the troubles of this world,
He is making a way for us;
Wait for his time, the night
will break to the day of joy.
Verse 3
He rules all things,
They listen to His voice;
His voice is a blessing,
His way is light.
Verse 4
He stretched out His hand,
what hinder Him?
When He fights for His people,
who can overcome?
Verse 5
Take everything to the King,
As He chooses for us!
We shall be surprised, we shall say,
How strong are His hands!
Verse 6
You will see in the coming week
Bigger than your mind,
When He will finished the work
You have feared.
Verse 7
Thou knowest our hearts,
Thou hast not broken our strength;
lift up your fallen hands,
kneel down your strength!
Verse 8
Let us, in life and in death,
Preach your word,
Spread your love,
And all your protection. Amen.
