    Hi May 30 2023 I just watch you setting up the EZ-Flo System If you push back the nipples on the cap you can pull the lines out for refilling the tank. It you put a washer on the lines before pushing the lines back in this will help when taking them off again.
    👍😁 I hope this helped you

    Thanks for the video, very good. I have the same unit - fertigation changed my garden and gave me a huge time saver. Just a TIP.- When you want to take the lid off just push the disconnect towards the lid, the lines pop out and in really easy, so taking the lid off is a breeze. Also to stop air bubbles - You can pull fert side tubeout, turn water side on and purge air from your tank real quick, pop it back in. Regulator down stream.

    I believe the directions say to have the pressure regulator installed after the the hose bib connector

    No, I only leave it hooked up for a short time. Just enough time to run fertilizer thru system to plants. Then I disconnect. Thanks for question!

    I’ve been wanting to do this in our garden, it’s been so hot that I think a drip irrigation would be best. We will check out the tank for fertilizer also, keep us posted on how it works!

    I have the same EZ Flow set up except my injector is brass. It works very well with my drip lines. My only criticism is that it is a pain to refill the container with fertilizer. I wrote the company and suggested that they add a separate fill port. I use an anti-siphon device upstream of the injector. I used only one flow disc to regulate the flow through the injector body. I didn't use a pressure reducer so the input pressure is 61 lbs on my system. I used zip ties to clean up the routing of the plastic hoses. I am now experimenting with a Chapin 4701. It is easier to recharge. Thank you for your video!

    Wow. I ordered that same system just a few hours before I saw your video. What timing.
    I was planning on putting the injector upstream of the drip tape irrigation pressure regulator. In my case, the hose comes into a 6 zone manifold, then out through a set of valves to water different zones in our garden. Since not all the zones are using drip tape, not all of them have pressure regulators, so goes my reasoning for inserting before the manifold. Looks like it might take some trial and error. Good video. I'm surprised there aren't more homesteader folks using this type system.

    • @OzarkMountainGoats
      @OzarkMountainGoats  Před 4 lety +1

      I agree it seems to work well. Used it a couple times and am happy with it. Sure saves some time. I may change things around again once we add some raised beds. The use of a manifold would work perfect. Thanks for watching!

    I'm wondering If you should have put the pressure regulator past the EZ Flo tank somewhere? Maybe you've played with it more since this video is from 4 years ago? I run a 10 psi wobbler sprinkler head on a tripod right in the center of my garden. So I have the Ez Flo right at my hose bib, the hose into my garden, the the 10 psi regulator attached to my tripod and then the wobbler on top of the tripod. I use the 3/4 gallon tank and water for an hour or so at a time. The wobbler with the regulator is great and gives it a nice low pressure soaking.

      Charles, the tank will always stay full. It basically dilutes the fertilizer that you add to the inside of your tank and sends it out. I use a color fertilizer to see when the color is gone in the tank I know it's finished. You can add food coloring to your first batch to see how long it takes. Hope this helps.

    What fertilizer are you using with your EZ-Flow??? I just picked up some Master Blend fertilizer that I hope to use in mine, but I do not know how to mix it at this time.

    Great video. Was wondering how the system is still work??. I have a 7 zone drip system that I've been fighting with for the last several years being feed with a 1 hp well pump and pressure tank. After several years of having to try and adjust pressure using ball valves to keep my system from blowing apart I actually discovered I could install an inline Walter's pressure regulator to keep everything from blowing apart 😂😂😂. I've got it set at 25 psi now with all valves open for each zone and it's working great. In your video you tried using that 15 psi regulator and it didn't work. My question is do you think I could install that set up on my system at 25 psi or would I need to up the pressure more. Thank you have a great day

  • @mrlang30
    @mrlang30 Před 2 lety +1

    So the flow disks are like a pressure regulator in itself, they only talk about GPM and not PSI? I would hate to take off my actual pressure regulator and blow out my drip tubing. My hose bib has 60 PSI but I reduce to 25 PSI for the drip.

      Old Redding Farm - that’s what we used to do so I definitely feel your pain. Not only is it hard work but it takes a long time to get every plant watered. Thankfully this system makes it so easy now. I hope you can get one sometime! Take care 😊

    Hard for me to figure out the dilution rate using this system. I have a concentrated powder. 20-20-20. I put about 2 cups in the 2 gallon container and dilute with water and turn it onto med or high. My main area consists of 8 , 100 foot rows of t-tape. We'll see.....

    Spin the tank instead of the lid and your don't have to take the lines off each time.

    I have a question.
    Did you get any algae inside your system?
    Translucent plastic allows light to penetrate and can sometimes promote algae growth.
