It's been 7 years since I worked 2 whole days on this video and posted it to youtube. Since then the video has reached 3 MILLION views and I wanted to thank every single one of you for all the sweet sweet comments over these past years that still actively come in every month. A while ago someone attempted to steal this video and claim my work as their own on their channel, luckily one of u notified me straight away and we got the video taken down. If you don't like the fact that Philips mother dies, just watch the Norwegian original. The mother doesn't die. It is less gay though. I think it is the first time an American remake has made anything more gay.

I’ve always loved how Philip stood up for himself. Because yes, Lukas was dealing with a lot of internalized homophobia and pressure from other people, but he was still really shitty to Philip, and I’m glad Philip makes him aware of that.

Maybe the original series explains that. You see in the American version they split the story to PhilKas and the foster parents of Philip. If not there is still the French version, I think this is more centered in their relationship.

Philkas is such an emotional and amazing love story. Yes Lukas was trash most of the time but the main reason for it was because he was scared and he didn’t want to disappoint his dad.. but he loved Philip deep down. The moments they had alone proved how much they loved each other. Lukas was just trying to protect Philip. Even if he didn’t show it directly. I love them sm and I am having a mental breakdown rn because I just love them both so much

I regret not seeing this when it was on USA - unfortunately, at the time, I didn't know it was on. This is a terrific falling-in-love story, and the background music is perfect, it's just as romantic as the story, it kind of gives me a chill when it plays with their kisses and other passionate scenes. I should know by now that I shouldn't read comments before I've seen the whole story because there are invariably spoilers - in this instance, Phillip's mom's death, but I still plan to watch as much of the story as I can. James Paxton and Tyler Young are truly outstanding in their portrayals of Phillip and Lukas. Such a wonderful love story.

As a member of the LGBTQ community and someone who is not supported by my parents. This show means so much to me, when Lukas said, “I’m not gay like you-“ I understood exactly what he meant. I came out about a year and a half ago (end of 2019 summer) 💪💪🏳️🌈🏳️🌈 to friends and family. Although I don’t have the support of my parents the idea is not to seek sympathy but rather to say you can do it alone. You can be who you are and people can try n stop you and You Don’t Let them do that you stand strong. and when you need support, and encouragement at the end of the day, take it from the amazing characters in this show. I don’t mean to spam or anything but I download and placed all 10 episodes of this show in a google drive folder, because LGBTQ people lack real representation in the media and when there is a good example like this show I believe it should be shared. I love the way you've handled and blended the images on this clip........really, best quality altogether. Congratulations Lena. Eyewitness is by far the best version of a series, made originally in Norway and was followed by another one made in France more recently, with a lot of color and good acting, yet both of them lacking in sequence and pace. Eyewitness was perfect.
