Does anyone else notice how just about every Team Faulconer-produced Trunks theme is represented in this masterpiece? Mr. Morgan, I thank you a million times over for the influence your work has had in my childhood. Incomparable.
I go running when I feel troubled or trying to find creative inspiration, and this song really helps, both with being inspiring and when going through trifling times.
Future Trunks has always been a hero to me, since I was kid. Thanks man for posting this song, I really, really appreciate this song so damn much.

Aw shit, you can definitely hear "Heroic Trunks" in the verses...memories man so many memories; 1998 all over again. I think next Scott you should a track inspired from Battle Point Unlimited, Hikari no Will Power and Mind Power...Ki. Those are some of Trunk's best themes.

13 years later and this is still so beautiful, this song gives me power like no other. The original DBZ music is just that, mystical and motivating, I will always love the original music because of it sounding like this. Powerful music keeps us alive.

It's all ☆☆☆☆☆ and then that guitar comes in and the whole song transforms into a super saiyan, then ssj2, then 3, 4, and ascends all the way to those god forms. I just want to thank you for making my younger years amazing and giving that same feel now in my teen years. The Dragon Ball series will always be my favorite series and it's people like you that give me the reason why cause of the amazing music.

I remember when you first uploaded this, think I was only 15 at the time and helped me get through some hard times in high school. Now I'm 25 with a kid on the way. Time is scary, but I guess Trunks knows that already. :)

i love the subtle hint of vegeta's ssj theme in this song. its so fitting.
I'm usually a purist when it comes to anime, but god your guys cut is so beautiful and perfect for the tone of DBZ. Even though this is an inspired track and was never featured in DBZ, it brings back so much nostalgia and reminds me of happier times. Thank you for keeping the spirit alive Scott!!!
Ya know if you never get to scoring Dragon Ball Super.. for the love of god put together a Kickstarter or something and make a soundtrack for it that can be added in after release! PLEASE.

11 years and I STILL can't get over how amazing this is, I remember the days of young CZcams, I was looking for the DB funi score and more of Scott, Mike and Julius work and boom discovered this video. 💜
Still gives me chills and all of the what ifs (shame things are different now and DBS never got a localisation score because this would have fit perfectly in the Trunks/Goku Black storyline..)

Thanks! I consider this to be an original tune, but it is definitely inspired by Mike's Heroic Trunks theme. Now Episodic Trunks is a true cover because it is just Heroic Trunks' melody and chords slowed down and rearranged (I wanted a lighter version to use for non-action scenes). I'm glad you like both tracks!!

This song has inspired my creativity, being able to create and imagine, on many occasions. I try to listen to it as little as possible so it never gets old. Its my secret weapon. The go to when I need to turn it up and get in the zone. I hope the effects never wear off and its always as potent as day one. Ive tried them all and could never get close to this. I like this theme, this is definitely fitting for Trunks. When I listen to it from beginning to end, it makes me think of how Trunks trained himself in the fight against androids 17 and 18 after the tragic loss of his master and only friend Gohan, and how he not only had to fight for everyone who had been terrorized by the androids, but also to survive, even when he probably felt he was no match for them, he still bravely did what he could even at the cost of his life.
12 years and still feels as fresh as the day I first heard it.. This gives me as much nostalgia as the actual DBZ score at this point. 💜😎

I keep coming back to this track as not just as a nostagia trip of DBZ as you're a super saiyan for making music for it, but it was one of the first songs I listened to at 15 years old whilst learning about fitness through bicep curls and pushups.

I like both the Japanese and English scores, but Faulconer and his team did a great job!!
This is honestly *better* than alot of the American DBZ soundtracks, it's right up there with all the other iconic character themes imo like ssj3 Goku, Vegetas theme/ super Sayian theme, Gohan's theme, and Goku's very first ssj transformation theme.
Alright time to hit this comment with an edit. This is legitimately one of my favorite instrumental pieces of music like just in general now, even outside of DBZ, it's such a good tune, I've listened to it on repeat several hours a day in the background, even listening to it in my head at work today lol, it's actually amazing.
This is an absolutely brilliant masterpiece, definitely five stars. I think this might be your best DBZ related song yet.

I didn't even grow up with your music, I didn't even start watching dragon ball until I was in 8th grade and I'm 17 now, the music just gives me a nostalgic feeling I really wish you could do something to put your work on dbs the fans would go crazy some ppl don't realize how much this music means to the dbz fan base please do something ask funimation to do a survey or whatever to let the fans decide to let you come back and do work, many fans love you man... something you've created has turned into something more important than music

Nonetheless-holy cow! I'm utterly amazed at how awesome this sounded! That was such sick guitar playing, and I'm sure my bros would be equally impressed since they're musicians (to an extent) themselves. This was totally Trunks-like, and I must say, the synth playing blew me away. Good stuff!
This is still one of the pieces that inspires me most, Scott. I have listened to this so many nights while working. This inspired me on my art and pushed me to do more and more. Thanks for creating such an amazing piece for our and sharing this with the world.

for anybody who watched this video but hasn't checked it out, there is a youtube user by the name of dbzkaimusicalrevival who is going out of the way to make three seperate custom soundtracks dbz kai. one of them is a custom faulconer soundtrack, and he's even using this very song in the scene where trunks is powering up against cell. if you haven't scene his videos, you should. i'm sure you won't be disappointed.
So I'm writing a DBZ massive crossover fanfic, and I had this as the song for when Trunks went Super Saiyan Three. Needless to say it fits perfectly

I found your channel last week by chance, and i really got curious about the US DBZ version, so i managed to order the DVD's. I have to say so much better than our version, from the voice acting and especialy from the soundtrack.
