Amazing that most of the modern day teachers state, you need the club in the fingers of the left hand and under the heel pad of the left hand, yet Jack states exactly the opposite. Like mentioned below, got to go with 18 majors over a bunch of theorist. GOAT!!!

In high school, my grip was too weak, and I sliced the ball a lot. After 8 years in the Army, I started playing frequently again, and developed a hook from a grip that was too strong. After watching this video in 2002, I started hitting straight drives with a slight fade and straight irons and wedges with a slight draw. By 2005, my handicap had dropped from 24 to 8. This grip works.

It’s the most comfortable grip I had ever used. And it works. I have to listen to the G.O.A.T.

Re finger/palm grip: Jack says grip it diagonally across the palm of the left hand, but 0:46 looks like it's in the base of the left fingers. Why? Because you wrap your hand around the grip, so both fingers and palm are both on the grip. All left hand grips are palm + finger not either/or.

I used to do this grip til I had a lesson and was told it's all wrong. I must be in the fingers, he said . I'm playing tomorrow. I think I will go back to this..

I listen to all the teaching pros. So many contradictions and over analysis. I have a hard time NOT listening to an 18 time major winner. Keeping it simple. Golf is hard enough as it is. Thanks Jack!

I hit my 3 iron 225 with no divot at 93 mph swing speed. Funny thing is, I’ve been doing this way before I knew of jacks grip, and it just felt natural and gave great feedback. Then I saw every teacher saying that this is really bad gripping. Tried it their way, for research, and I lost 50 yards with each club. I strong grip as well, this I think Nick is wrong about, you get way more power. When hitting a driver, I hit over 300 using strong grip but 10 finger grip like Moe Norman. Of course I’m using an 8 degree lofted driver, but to get that distance with ease every time… I’m sorry but I’m going to use what works

    • @SpencerLane-v1k

@@edwarddelavilla3475I agree I cock my left wrist a lot (what he actually called a weak wrist), I always thought it was considered strong because I hit my PW like 160 using it but also shank a lot and can’t release the club head.

Work on it on the range, and you will get straight drives with a slight fade.
