Due to less availability of land now we have to move forward to vertical farming in our country. According to this technique, the vegetables are grown in a hydroponic unit with Green House Fans in it. The environment for the plants is strictly monitored. Due to all checks and balances and the controlled environment, the production of vegetables here is disease and insects free. There is less attack of pathogens as compared to open fields but as a safety measure pesticide spray is used as per required. For White Fly attacks, yellow traps are placed at various points.
Also, this technique production has a high market value. It is a good business model, especially for development purposes but one has to analyze its market before starting this business.
