  • Momos are dumplings stuffed with a variety of ground meat or vegetables. Momos are prepared with numerous flavours like veg momos , fried momos , tandoori momos .If you are a Momo lover it is quite likely that you would love these creamy versions too. Fried dumpling is slathered with yogurt, cream, fresh coriander leaves and some ground spices.

    For Dough :
    maida - 1 cup
    Salt
    Water
    Oil - 1/2 tsp
    For Filling :
    Butter - 1 tbsp
    1 tsp chopped garlic
    1 tsp chopped ginger
    1 tsp chopped Green Chilli
    1/4 cup chopped Spring onions
    1/4 cup chopped carrots
    1/4 cup chopped cabbage
    1/4 cup chopped capsicum/French beans
    1/4 cup crumbled paneer
    1/4 tsp black pepper powder
    1 tbsp Spring onion(Green part)
    1/2 tsp soy sauce
    Salt
    For Afghani Batter:
    Butter - 2 tbsp
    Green Chilli Chopped - 1 tsp
    Cream - 4 tbsp
    Milk - 1/2 Cup / Curd - 3 tbsp
    black pepper powder - 1/4 tsp
    Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
    Chaat masala - 1/2 tsp
    Coriander powder - 1 tsp
    Kasuri methi - 2 pinch
    chopped coriander - 1 tbsp
    Salt
    Recipe :
    In a mixing bowl add maida , salt and mix well. Add water in small portions and knead to a semi stiff dough. Add Oil and knead for 15-20 secs and rest for 15-20 mins.
    For Stuffing:
    In a pan add butter ,garlic ,ginger ,Green Chilli . Saute for 1 min.
    Add Spring onion ,carrots , capsicum/beans . Mix and saute for 1 min.
    Now add cabbage , paneer and saute on high flame for 1 min , till it shrinks slightly.
    Reduce the flame to low and add pepper powder and Salt . mix well.
    Add soy sauce and mix . momos stuffing is ready.
    Take the prepared momos dough and knead for few secs. divide the dough into small portions . now dust the board with some maida, take one portion of dough and roll using a rolling pin.The edges has to be thin and center has to be thick. Now place prepared stuffing in the centre. pleat the edges and pinch at each pleat and continue shaping in semicircular motion. Pinch all over again to seal the momo perfectly and to even out the shape like crescent moon. Deep fry the momos

    For Afghani sauce :
    In a pan add butter,Green Chilli. Saute for few seconds.
    Add 4 tbsp cream , 1/2 cup milk.Cook for few minutes.
    Now add Salt black pepper powder ,Garam masala ,Chaat masala , Coriander powder, Kasuri methi , chopped coriander.
    Adjust the consistency as you need.
    Now add fried momos and Coat them well gently.
    Serve hot.
