  • Iztaccihautl (white woman) is the third highest mountain in Mexico and the seventh highest in North America. Climbing Izta was such an incredible mountaineering experience. A 5,230m (17,160ft) dormant volcano located in Mexico close to Mexico city and north of its twin, Popocatepetl, which is an active volcano (you can see an eruption at 0:42 ).

Please explain why you need to stay on the top for 4 hours?

Hi, Sorry for the confusion. When I mentioned "staying on top," I was referring to hiking at high elevations, specifically above 5000 meters. The hut is situated at 4700 meters, and the summit reaches 5230 meters. It typically takes around 4-5 hours to trek from the hut to the summit, and due to the extreme altitude, the hike is quite challenging.

Who did you use to guide you to the top? I want to climb this in May! Thank you.
