  • Louis Breland, along with son Karl, head to Alberta after purchasing the Alberta Minister's Tag for 2016. They hire Scott Carter to help out, and manage to get the job done on a beautiful old ram early in the hunt.

    Stellar job. You managed to shoot a ram and have everyone pack it all out for you. Great accomplishment. You hiked out with a day pack and your rifle. 👍🏻

    Having read about the grand adventures of sheep hunting through O'Connor Carmichael and many other hunting legends it seems modern day sheep hunting has lost it's mystical qualities. Not detracting from this magnificent specimin, the hunter or the hunt just pointing out how times have changed.

    In my experience if you show off your expensive hunting clothing to the sheep, they will walk right into your camp hoping you take them home and adopt them. Kuiu also says this on their website.
    Cheers!

    theres more places then the hot rocks boys lol what did you pay for the tag? 120,000$ pretty young ram for that buds.

    • @randysandberg5615
      @randysandberg5615 Před 6 lety

      Yeah, for that kind of $$, you would hope for a larger ram. But, quite possibly they were tired from the hike and decided to take the first legal animal. I've been there too.

    Those who kill this majestic animals should be charged like killing a human being.

      Why watch hunting videos if you are such a pussy. Those majestic animals are like rats around here and cause tons of damage and vehicle collisions every year. The population is way over sustainable healthy levels. Do your research before commenting and sounding stupid next time. I live less than ten minutes from where this was shot so I speak from experience.

      Man I don't know what planet you're from but you were misled as a child.a human has a soul and an animal doesn't .

    • @VixenAurora
      @VixenAurora Před 5 lety +2

      I agree that killing them is wrong, but if people should be charged for harming a non-human in the same way they are charged for killing a human, then someone who buys animal products should be charged in the same way as someone who hires a hitman to kill someone for them. Obviously it's impractical to imprison all non-vegans, so the best thing to do is just educate people about having respect for other sentient beings.
      Are you vegan by any chance?

      @@twodogsyyc6729
      1) People aren't "pussies" for caring about others.
      2) Rats value their lives too and are not insults so calling them "rats" is nothing negative.
      3) They don't cause accidents on purpose. They HAVE accidents. They don't WANT to be in a collision. An accident happens. We could easily flip that around and say that humans are "rats" because they cause tons of deaths every year with their cars and then use that to justify going around putting bullets into humans. But that's obviously horribly unethical.
      4) Not only are human populations way over sustainable levels, humans are vastly overpopulated and it's causing all kinds of problems for our own species and most other species. Is that a justification for going around shooting humans? Of course not. Because populations are not just things, they are sentient individuals. We all value our lives so it's not okay to kill us for "population control". Same goes for other animals. They value their lives too and do not want to die. And we don't have to kill them. We can live and thrive as vegans. This is unnecessary killing. They are individuals with their own experiences, wants, desires, fears, etc. They suffer from pain. They enjoy life. They feel fear. They do not want to die. They have only one chance to live the amazing experience of being alive. And you're taking that from them. They will NEVER get another chance to be alive again. It is the ULTIMATE theft. Robbing others of literally EVERYTHING they have. It is horrifically lacking in empathy or ethics. PLEASE, I beg you, please consider others around you. Put yourself in others shoes. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Would you want others to consider your life as having as little value as you consider the lives of non-human animals?
