Till's lyrics cover all human subjects, including the bad ones. For example "Halelujah" and "Zeig Dich are about sexual abuse in the church. But they are not things that happened in his life. He is a very high level storyteller. At Lindemann, too, "Steh auf" is about a child who asks his dead, drug-addicted mother to get up again. In "Home sweet homme" sung in English, he sings about cancer.

honestly seeing Rammstein perform at daylight feels wrong. I was lucky enough to attend the tour in Vienna and there it was already dark when the concert began - WAY BETTER

Till sings a lot from the perspective of the figure hes besinging. Dont worry, its fictional but still a real thing in poor countries. Rammstein often makes music about bad stuff thats happening in the world. Even though the lyrics are deep, people tend to interpret a little too much into it

I dont take most of Till's lyrics literally. His father was a famous German poet and Till inherited his father's talent for writing, add to that Till's prowess as a performer. Till will write a story or Rammstein lyrics based around what the other guys come up with in terms of the music, so then Till writes a story and then on stage and in recordings he EMBODIES the characters and the feelings. I think its soo striking and you guys think its something he really went through because we dont see that alot in metal or in music in general. Everything most singers write about is generic or autobiographical. We never see singers write a story and then EMBODY the character on stage. They just sing.
You should listen the studio version of this song. That’s something!!! And it is very dark song, that’s why Til is passionate. Definitely you should listen to the new whole album. It’s fantastic.

The best metal band,expecially live, all over the world.✨ I have seen them live last july, the best concert of my life ( I have seen about 1500 live in my life) . Nobody like Rammstein. I can't wait for seen them next july 2024❤️ here in Italy, for the European tour.
To be honest, the version from Moscow is better: Till points the eye camera at all the band members who fool around a bit for the audience (first Paul, then Richard, then Flake, then Christoph, then Olli) before he takes a look at the audience. Also, you can see how the "doll" grotesquely screams when engulfed in the flames. Also (IIRC): the lyrics are based upon a short story Till wrote a few years ago, where it was the narrator's mother and not the sister who worked as a prostitute and got killed in the end.
I think Gelsenkirchen was the first show of this tour show, which explains why their performance was, although still great, not as good as in later shows.

One of my favourite tracks off this album. That pram prop is sinister enough before the fire. Different, but Mein land has a bit of an eerie undertone with a 'where is this going?' If you're after other ominous tracks try Dir en grey's dum spiro spero album, blossoming beelzebub, dreambox or shitataru moro for example.😊

I don’t think it’s a personal story. Till likes to get deep into the thoughts and minds of the darkest directions humans can go and this story surely is dark. But just like “Mein Teil” or “Wiener Blut”, it probably isn’t something he experienced himself but heard or read about. :)
I don't think Till writes much about his life. Seems like he's very good at making up stories or using historical events, or old poems and adapting them into songs.
If you like the lyrics of Puppe, I recommend you Spielhur is from their third album “Mutter”. The story in the lyrics is great and the music is awesome. But first look for the translation . I hope you like it🖤
