- As the Vikings look to make a postseason run, some fans are doing anything they can to help the team. For Kirk Cousins' neighbor Jon Weber, that means picking up a snow shovel during a massive snowstorm this week in Minnesota.

If you've ever cleared out snow in Minny... you understand you get like a "runners kick" that drives you to continue doing more even after you've finished. I got stuck pulling into my unplowed driveway the other day and was shoveling out... im 33 and very capable, yet a woman slightly older than myself from my neighborhood that I had never met stopped her vehicle went back to her home and got a shovel then came over and helped me til I was in my garage... another neighbor had gotten stuck in the road by that time and we all helped push them out til they could drive again. It's quite infectious. One of the hidden gifts of enduring hard winters is the generosity and kindness that it brings out of ppl
As a California resident, it seems that the harsher elements in Midwestern winters makes people more reliant on each other to survive so it’s much more common to see this in the area.
You should deal with Buffalo snow.

Maybe highlights the difference between New York boldness, and Minnesota nice?

In New York/Jersey we shovel our own driveways. That way you actually have the toughness to do things yourself and not rely on the referees to give you phantom 'roughing the passer' calls.
