Whales have no need on carbon any more, so they have to change this. probably alot harder to get carbon for people that still need it. but yea thats the game we play, more benefits for whales....
Each update is targeted towards the top dogs of the game. Because they are the ones making them money, not the free ones remember. They even hurting the low-mid spenders now with this.
I know whales are the ones that developers want, but if there are only whales they going to find the game boring. If anyone see whales fighting each other, the fights are long and drawn out. I don’t believe getting carbon should be easy, but making it harder doesn’t help either.
In some regions most players have dropped squad sizes in arena . But there are a handful who havent , its still very difficult to rank high even after being on shelter level 23 tbh this update is gonna cook lower level players 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️or even worse cook everyone

With their latest updates, I have started thinking there is no more point in spending money because if you are not investing 10-20k and over you just won’t be able to compete. Spend a few hundred a month is starting not to work. Considering the tier 3 devices , and a few other changes lately. This arena change if it ends up being like the wasteland events , and makes it harder to get carbon , might push me over the edge. Especially knowing they are planning on hero skins and other updates , if my feeling is right , and it’s all for the whales to be even more untouchable, they are basically hoping on whales racing to get the latest stuff to compete with one another. Good business plan, but I promise the game becomes very boring for the whales once the medium players leave by the thousands Unfortunately when that happens , and igg has made their millions, they move on to start a new project (game) and attract new medium spenders and new whales and making new millions.
I found another game I might start playing it's called mecha domination it doesn't seem so money hungry. I will no longer invest anything in to this doomsday shit
A farm of mine has 1M arena coins but can't get one equipment maxed due to the restriction to rewards. (The coins could have been exchanged for other things, but the goal isn't to grow the account but to get gathering speed from the equipment. The farm doesn't participate in antpede as well, so consider this the situation new players in small alliances facing) This won't be a problem in the new arena tho as your coins are taken away every month. ez fix😅
I'm fairly new to the game and I still need carbon. I'm in Grop academy the second highest alliance on my server. My might is only 5 mil. I'm a player who can only contribute $5-15 a month, so I am concerned about this. I'm really happy with the game and I love my alliance and it's people. it'd be a shame if I had to quit due to the game Devs greed. I never expect to compete with the whales. But I DO work harder to get what I can from the events by logging more hours.

The one thing wrong with the present arena of doom is you end up fighting the same people in your might braket. If this new arena of doom is cross region you will have more people to fight in your might braket!! Then it's down to the potential rewards that can be obtained. people are only worried if you can still obtain 205 carbon a week. without doing antped.
Yup too many regions lowering defences at the start of the week making it too easy for smaller players to grow and potentially want to stay in the game without having to spend huge amounts of money. Expect an Antepede nerf incoming too.

@@angelokerasidis9893 yes so true i feel you. Its getting more and more insane. T3 parts are just overpowered, even more than armaments are. If you dont have them you can not compete. I know doomsday from start and each New Update just bring more and more expensive pay to win features. Its just insane
this is how I think they should implement it: for highest leagues you get access to more suitable rewards like armaments and a small amount of tier 3 device blueprints. For mid leagues you get more carbon tier 2 device blueprints, fabric, poly and other part materials. (also tier 3 DB and armaments but not as much as in higher leagues) for low leagues you get quite a lot of speedups (to help grow strong quickly), carbon, fabric and maybe purple armaments
I can see this is how they *would* do it, considering this is how things currently are with the arena and wasteland challenges. But I don't understand how this is better for players in general. Players are forced to do it step by step, e.g. get purple armaments before getting legendary ones. Limited planning and strategies could be applied. If I were a low spending new player, seeing that purple armaments, speedups etc are fairly accessible in many events, I might want to go straight for T3 devices/legendary armaments in the arena. Wise or not, the option is deprived. I saw a T4 player (shelter at level 24) with decent legendary armaments and full T3 devices trading positively against low to none spender T5s, while it's apparently achieved by spending money, it's a play style that works. It's also weird to restrict devices as players have access to workshops at shelter level 17, even earlier than they have access to armaments (lv 24). It seems to me it's meant to be a way for new players to catch up.

I feel like it ruins the balance of the game if you see more 40m mights with tier 3 devices. You wouldn't give a child a bazooka. they'll have to be satisfied with a glock 19 till they're big enough to wield it. something they should do though is make growth quicker though. they should give low/no spenders the opportunity to keep up or add ways for f2p to compete so not a single p2w can carry an entire event. would be great if they added defensive buildings that will attack troops that enter territory

I am assuming that unlike the current Arena of doom which reset weekly, new one would be like the seasonal store where rewards rewards reset monthly.
