Thanks for making this video! It was really helpful for my school assignment. Could you possibly do a juice box (I'm not sure how one would do the folds) or a milk carton? I feel that would be interesting!
You're welcome! If you're in a pinch for time, a juice box shape is similar to my video about creating a custom box. However there are some differences that would make for a good video, so I'll add it to my list. Thanks for the suggestion 😄

thank you SO SO SO much! Does anyone happen to know how to make the glass material another color like brown or clear? Dimension is so tricky, thank you for the tutorial!
Hi, this was pure joy to watch. Could you do lipstick in 3d using Illustrator and then Dimension? I need to do a branding for my student portfolio and I have everything but I really want to learn how to make my own 3d mockup which I would use as a showcase for packaging design and labeling design. I have subscribed to your channel because it is awesome!! I tried something already in Illustrator, just not sure if that is the right way. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this tutorial !! 👏 Very helpful. But one question please, why didn't you create simply a box for the bottle? (Why did we need 3 different parts?)
Good question! The inside of the perfume bottle is oddly shaped molded glass, so the best way I found to mimic that was to use three pieces. If the box wasn't clear (meaning it was solid and the inside wasn't visible), we could just create one box. I'm all about pushing the edges of these 3D tools to make the most realistic interpretation I can. Let me know if that answered your question 😃
@@silvermoondesignschool Yeah I figured that was the reason too. The rendering works very well ! Thank you for the kind response and can't wait to see your next videos :)
thanks for the video very helpful! I was wondering how I would customize the top portion of the bottle. I want the base to be a rectangle shape(similar to what you created in this video) but instead of the opening sitting on top of the rectangle, I want there to be an area that is slanted, coming to more of a point where the opening would be. similar to the Jose Cuervo Tequila or Platinum Vodka bottle shape. This is hard to explain in words so I hope this makes sense. I am working on a summer school project and am very new to custom 3D shapes, so any help would be greatly appreciated!!
This is a tricky one for sure. Using Extrude and Bevel settings on a tracing of the silhouette could get you this effect, but you may need to settle for 80-90% accuracy on this one. Try combining an Extuded shape for the base and a Revolve shape for the neck.
Yes, I touch on this topic in my Don Julio video: czcams.com/video/kdMkevtC1ao/video.html You'll need to save the different finishes in separate layers similar to how you would set up the production files.
Amazing video! SO helpful. You are excellent at making it perfectly understandable. Like mikaelaheid7471, I would dearly love to know how to make the bottom an elliptical cylinder, blending into a different shape elliptical cylinder at the top, then into an elliptical shoulder I can do the round neck but struggle with the elliptical parts as they, I assume need to be extruded? It in between extrude and rotate in a way I simply cannot think how...
There's a Taper and Twist option under Extrude that could work... do you have an example image or sketch? You can email it to me at haley@silvermoonbranding.com
supported a imageline product... what a joke, and also tNice tutorialer save function is a joke... even the save function in "Microsoft Word" is better...

Can wine and spirits labels be generated with the finishes and textures applied to them?
Yes, I touch on this topic in my Don Julio video: czcams.com/video/kdMkevtC1ao/video.html You'll need to save the different finishes in separate layers similar to how you would set up the production files.
