I really like the look of that radio! It looks pretty rugged too! Great video! 👍🏻

Looks like a solid, well made radio, with a big battery, and the higher output at 10 watts is good. Programming, as always with these types of radios is typical, so for anyone who's had one before, it should be really easy to set up and get going. It's not a criticism, just an observation, but it would have been nice if it had USB charging but overall, it looks really good. Thanks for the video, 73

As always a useful comment mate :) Yeah agree on the USB side of things, I think it should be the way forward for chinese radios

    Thanks Lewis!
I was hoping to see a review of one of those.
    Another great video. Thanks!
Really like the look of that radio, but my preference would be orange if it is available or even blue.
The only issue I can see is that remembering what is programmed into 199 channels without carrying some sort of printed cheat sheet around. If you have that many frequencies to enter and use that is!
    73's!

    • @RingwayManchester

Cheers Simon yeah it's very rugged. I'm with you, firm believer that 5w is enough for a HT, I guess on an external antenna the 10w is more beneficial maybe. Testing the Baofeng GT-3TP confirmed that for me

Hi, I've just purchased the GT-10 with programming cable and software. Is their a button sequence to putting the radio in read mode first? All I've done is connect the USB cable to laptop (Driver installed and recognised cable), turned the radio on and tried reading the radio, but it's not.

I bought a Set of GT-10 and discovered the on-board microphone is not sensitive, so broadcasts are being received with low volume voice audio, I then tried using an earpiece and spoke into the inline microphone and it boosted the audio 20-30%, so it seems logical either the on-board microphone is no good or the firmware require a fix (upgrade) to boost audio from on-board microphone. Has anyone encountered the same problem?

Ringway Manchester Just a bit of silliness from an American fan. A typical"drinking game" here in the U.S. usually involves taking a "shot" of alcohol every time a certain words is said (as in a movie or this case video). I was suggesting that this video would work well for that and the "drink word" would be "chunky", which my American ears hears as "ChoonKay". 😁 All in good fun, of course! 👍
