Kärcher service advised me to rinse the descaling cartridge with warm weater (or replace) and it fixed my no steam problem. I also filled the steamer with warm water.

This machine costs €500 and its quality is horrible, it is not normal for a company like KARCHER to deceive people with these products. A vaporizer that breaks after an average of 50 uses is basically a scam.

Hi, i hope you can help me with mine SC5 (premium). It does not take any water from the tank, and the fill water icon blinks and peeps. Do you have any advise what i could try?
Nice video. I have a Karcher SC1122 Steamer that’s been left for a long time in my garage. The lid is just rotating and won’t come off? Any ideas would be appreciated?
Also, if it’s steam is less powerful would that be the same problem as yours? I haven’t descaled it but should. I read somewhere you should descale it once a week if you use it a lot? Thanks.
Hi, i think you're lid is stucked. Try to cool it down and depressurized that should be easy to open.
The solenoid valve inlet and outlet could be blocked by calcuim. Yes try to descale it..
Excellent video, easy to follow and it enabled us to change the complete new part shown (solenoid coil and valve) 👍. However, we still have no steam. Having tested the solenoid coil we removed it was ok (2.4 Ohm). Having looked at the valve it was a little dirty inside. So now the unit is as follows. We have plenty of hot water pumping out under pressure. When we switch to steam there is nothing, not even a drip. We have tried two separate hose/lance assemblies and when pressing the trigger, the solenoid and valve make a clung sound as if working ok, but still no steam. Any ideas? Thanks.
The boiler does not refill water, when its empty it will not produces steam.. please check if the pump refill water to the boiler..
@@antonbacs13 The boiler fills from the water tank and the water boils. If it is on the steam setting, there is no steam. If it is on hot water setting, there is hot steamy water.
Did you already descaled it overnight? There are only 2 causes why it does not produces steam, first... if the boiler gets empty and it does not fill water.. second, if your valve mechanism does not open even if the coil is ok..
I experienced it before, when I pressed the trigger the coil and solenoid valve makes a clicking sound but the mechanism inside the valve does not open..

Hello- I replaced my solenoid on my SC4, and de-scaled it, but it still has a problem: it heats up and releases a good blast of steam, but then it immeditaley slows to a trickle. If i release the trigger the pressure builds up again, then the same: blast to trickle. Any idea what the problem and fix could be?
Hi, sorry for late reply.. your pressure switch does not work anymore.. the pressure switch prevents overpressre and shut down the heating element if the max pressure is reached..

Need to replace the solenoid valve.. Solenoid valve is responsible to open and close the boiler to produce steam.

I've got the same model. You can plug the machine in and works ie heats up ect .when u plug the steam attachment in it trips my electrics any help would be much appreciated thankyou
Hi there, 2 possilble problem.. First, heating element already damage ( Grounded). Second, Solenoid coil also grounded.. Ty for your question..
Have the same problem i press the gun and nothing comes out when i press the first time i can hear some air comin out but then stops,took the water pump and test it and works but still no steaming comin out,what could it be??
It's the solenoid valve, it controls the steam when you press the gun..
I have probably the same problem, Nilfisk steam cleaner, it is hot, but no steam coming out. Was this the same problem with your steam cleaner? What is the name of the part that should be replaced?

Please check #1. Fuse ( maybe busted ) at main plug of steamer #2. Check wire connectors inside steamer ( loose connection ).
Hi can you help me with Karcher steam iron that does not stop releasing steam? Model is SC 4100 C. The problem is not in the boiler I guess, it’s the iron attached that does not stop releasing steam no matter what setting I use.

I can not turn off my sc5... it is blocked on 4th position. Button can be rotated but nothing change. I checked solenoid coil and is ok. I think the valve is broken. Can i open it somehow to try to clean inside the valve? Thx
Yes you can check the valve but I think the problem is the solenoid switch, it is the 2pin switch attached to the selector knob.. It does not cut off the power that is why you cannot switch it off..
@@antonbacs13 finally i managed to clean the valve and now it is working, but i have problem with water sensor or whatever is there cause it shows not water (tank is full)

There is a lock nut, you can loosen it..
I have sc3 he work but don't steam and always red lamp that don't have water, what can be this?
A techician should replace the water level sensor coz it is already faulty.. but descale the boiler first, maybe it is full of scale..

Same, it's on, it's making a light noise but no steam coming out. It was fine the last time it was used.
