His name sounds: Dimash accented “mash” and accented /´gen. He is from Kazakhstan but there was singing in Hunan TV show "I am singer" in China when he was 23 years old.
He uses techniques from opera, modern lyric, ethnic, glam, hard rock and pop environments. Registers don´t apply to his voice. Not only male voice, no female voice, no alien voice: Dimash´s voice. And yes, his vois IS an instrument.

“SOS d'un terrien en détresse” tells of an earthly being that is in distress and asking for help because he never felt well in his own skin, he better wants to be a bird to see the world in case it could be more beautiful when seen from above. Luc Plamondon wrote the lyrics of SOS about a very distraught young man who just lost his lover causing him extreme questioning of his own existence. Finally being by her lifeless body, he is able to let her go “in peace“ with the words ‘sleep, my child, sleep’. It is a part of an french Rock-Pop opera released in 1979: Starmania. One of the 5 most difficult songs in French language. It was recorded by Daniel Balavoine in 1979 or so and Grégory Lemarchal won of the French reality singing competition Star Academy 2004 with this song.
