Oddly enough, Dragon Uppercut has more uses outside Tekken. A traditional shoryuken in SFxTk and a very strong kill move in Smash, for example.

Worth mentioning:
-in t4 heihachi has 3 types of dragon uppercut including red one
-in t5 kazuyas dragon uppercut with mid extension was a really nice combo after connected df2 pewgf
-in t7 dragon uppercut is useless unless you are a devil

I find it interesting how Devil and Angel have no extensions to their Dragon Uppercut in Tekken 2, yet gain Kazuya's extensions in Tekken Tag Tournament along with their own unique hit throw follow-up.

Law does have a move named "Dragon Uppercut". It's his WS+2 launcher.

Kazuya's cd1 is the most useless move in T7 unless he is in devil mode.

You forgot one most important thing -- it used to have Clean Hit property, which adds a whole lot of damage.
