When I started my journey of learning Power BI…
One of my greatest challenge was to figure out how to do things that I could do super quickly in excel (almost without thinking) in Power BI… Things like conditional formatting, changing the fonts, creating charts, etc...
If you are in a similar situation like me... don't give up, keep on practising. Soon it will become second nature and you will find using Power BI to create charts and tables is so much easier than using Excel.
In this video, I'll show you the various options available within Power BI to perform conditional formatting with ease, i.e. by setting:
(1) Background colour
(2) Font colour
(3) Data Bar
(4) Icons
There are so many varieties of built in options available. No Dax required. Just simple clicking..

P.s. I didn't get a chance to show it in the video.. but if you 'select' value & total in the drop down selection box, you can extend the conditional formatting to not just the body of the table... but also to the total.

How can I add a conditional formatting icon to a Card (measuring %overall score)? When I right-click on the field (Overall Score Measure), it doesn't give the option to select "Conditional formatting".
