Worked at spring shop many years ago where we did several of these jobs a week. I always tried to be busy doing something else. Heavy, dirty work. The shop went through air tools and impact sockets like crazy. Too bad he didn't show the press used to remove and install the bushings...its massive.

Worse than the walking beam suspension system are the leaf spring or massive coil spring suspensions. The work then becomes deadly in some cases. Had a coil spring jump from its hold down clamps and penetrate the shop wall about 12 feet away. All in about two seconds. I was trained to NEVER expose any body part to a spring under tension. That advise paid off.
Got to love walking beam....best off road suspension in my opinion...mabey not the smoothest ride but hey its a water truck

I use to run a concrete mixer with the hendrickson suspention. Very stable. The dumptruck i ran had the walking beam with the springs.
Also very nice. The best part of a walking beam suspension is one less air leak to find. Dual lockers a must.

@@SemiWorkin I had one where the pins were cutting into the beam ends. Welded and ground it and it drove away.

It looks like a hand truck to stack feed bags like you would find at a farmers co op. It’s at an angle so the bags don’t fall while your stacking them onto it

Spray some wd40 on all the bolts before you undo them and it will save you so much hassle.
