Presale Shopping Bountiful Vintage Bargains at Antique Show!

- It's the last antique show of the season here in Princeton, Indiana, and the dealers are making deals! We've paid $15 extra to get in early, tell them about our own sale this weekend and look to see what we can take away to tantalize our own collector customers.
Surprising fall weather means this show's a sellout, inside and out! We comb tables of Hull Red Riding Hood, crocks, Black Americana and jadeite glass, find a Blenko chartreuse 1950s tray and score a great bargain on a Roseville Roxane ewer from the 1910s...and we're still outside the main halls!
We meet a friend setting up a fun Christmas display in one shed, have a great talk with the show promoter while shopping a $2 space and meet our friends Beth and Emily Kemper selling inside the main Events Center! So many great things to see here...a magnificent Italian horse head, scarcely seen still banks, a plethora of panthers and a pair of strangely cool 1960s Christmas trees that have to come south to Florida with me!
But there's still more to see, and we pass by a good collection of Uhl Pottery and a great Lionel train display on our way to see the final cluster of buildings at the north end of the fairgrounds. What will our best buy be? Stay tuned to find out if coming early pays off!

Ah my morning is complete, ✌🏼💚✌🏼💚🙏🏻
Thanks for the shout out, George! I'll be back in Princeton in April. Have a nice winter in FL!!
I so enjoy learning from you!
I like that big horse head too!
Wow wish I lived closer.
Great video George! Beth Kemper great booth!
Wow again George. I loved the 60's blue stem Ice Tea glasses...I would love an old etched set but those were lovely too and stronger. Thanks so much. We had a Dog and Suds in Billings...love those and A and W mugs and we had drive in fast food places long enough for me to leave retainer on tray...lol..oh dear.
Bubbye 👋 Can't wait to see the estate sale video !! It wouldnt be that 92 yr old ladies hoard of Stained glass, jewelry , ties, musics , music players , clocks, dolls, stuffed toys , pears etc etc !
Great sale!!
The jaidit lamp was handsome. My daughter would enjoy that lamp. ❤
Gomez Adams! I always love your references! I know it was killin’ ya not to sport that hat, uuuuhhh planter!🩷
Your humor. Absolutely LOVE your humor.
Certainly enjoyed seeing what was at the show but sorry I didn’t get to see your Roseville Devo look. Thanks George.
No longer Ft Hood, now Ft Cavazos 😎
Daughter & son in law currently stationed there.
I love early bird specials!
That was fun ❤
When I saw the cowboy and cowgirl outfits, it reminded me of an outfit that my dad had when he was probably around 6 or 8 years old. It was a cowboy vest and chaps made of real bearskin. It was fluffy black fur on of course the tanned leather. It had silver conchos and leather tie straps. It was probably from around 1940 if it was new when my dad had it. I hadn’t thought of it for a long time. I don’t think I’d seen it after about the mid 60’s. I don’t know what happened to it. Probably my step mom got rid of it. She was good at that. There were quite a few things that she did away with that I just cringe about. Sentimental value alone is an open wound for me.
That Donald Duck cookie jar looked newly painted
I love the traveling bar. My husband’s cousin had one. I invited them to dinner once and was shocked to see a suitcase coming up the walkway. I thought they had invited themselves for an overnight. I was scrambling to tidy up a guest room. Jokes were on me when he opened it up and started mixing cocktails.
Thanks for all the information! I always learn something 😀
Looks like you found some great buys!
So much cool stuff. You were only a little naughty.... you didn't pre-spend the whole 3g😂
I managed to spend it all eventually!
George, I don't know how you do it all.😊
Me either sometimes!
Omg George! $400.00 Devo hat! You & your hats! I think they would have dropped a load in their pants! Love your videos!
2 nights in a row,yess❤ your videos I learn so much 😊
Thank you for taking us along with you to browse!!❤
This left me wishing I could be there😂
I love all the old Christmas glass to go on the tree. I remember my Grandma also used to make some of the bulbs and then all the single strand tinsel that was such a mess to get off when the tree came down. What a mess that was, you wanted to keep it straight but couldn't. lol Have a great day and safe travels.
Gorgeous leaf colors!
$1100 holy cow. Love your shows. I always learn alot❤Thanks George
Thank you! I'm glad I can share some things.
Wow, wild George that was quite a cell. I really enjoyed everything and learned a whole lot this time things I've never seen before. I wish you were to put that pot on your head. That would ever look hilarious ava😅😅😅
I especially liked the brown glasses with the mahogany. I'd never seen those before and they're very nice. Also the gorgeous fall foliage was beautiful. One disappointment: no Devo hat demo 🙂
❤ That was WONDERFUL! The whole thing, down to that last big, heavy Sculptural Blue Pottery Vase, 75 percent off; a beauty! That dealer was sweet and rueful; "I'm trying to retire!", I can understand the difficulty of quitting. When you are a stuff person, stuff calls to you!
Good evening everyone 🦩🌴🌞
Good evening everyone 🌙
Hello!
I'm at the market selling now George. They opened a vintage market in the old armoury in my area. So much history and a really cool spot. Doing my third show in November.
Beautiful fall backdrop for a nice thrifting walk. Thanks George.
My heart is literally racing! I would've bought ALL of those cabinet bowls! R.S. Prussia is my favorite but at that price, I would be looking for a new curio to accommodate all of them. Lol. Any time you see them at a decent price, buy them for me, please!!❤ i wish I knew the seller. Id buy them all.
Had I known, I would've driven there for the sale. Love the prices.
Yay! Ty, George!❤❤❤
Glad you did well $$🦩🌴🌞
Thanks glad so much is gone!
My mother had a Tom’s peanuts jar just like that until my father broke the lid. It was definitely a vintage model. We used it as a cookie jar. If I could find one, I would buy it.
Loving the countdown 🦩🌴🌞
The old school one! We didn't flip it this time
Good evening, George! There were some old galvanised watering cans there that really caught my attention. I'd like to have a couple of those. Love the old cast iron kettles. Maybe i should've started collecting those, instead of the beverage set...they don't take as much real estate to display 😂 There looked like an old metal floor grate, where the farm implements were, I like the fancy old floor grates. They make really nice table tops. Loved the porcelain bowls! With them not being in high demand right now, it would be a good time to collect something beautiful! Ohhh...a Dr Pepper sign! There was a really pretty portrait tray just to the left of the pottery birdhouse I liked. A long time ago, we used to have a set of those mugs with the wood handles...I always thought them quite tacky 😆 That was a super-good deal on the cocktail shaker set! Wow! That looked like a really good show to shop! The prices were fantastic! Thanks for the take-along!
Galvanized is charming to me because I grew up with it everywhere on our old farm. Cast iron kettles were too heavy to have come west, but I've grown rather a deep appreciation for them since being in Kentucky more! I use a floor grate as a fire grate in an outdoor barbeque, it honestly works so well and seems to just temper more with age and use. I knew you'd like to see the Pepper stuff! The wood handled mugs seemed cheesy to me as a kid, but now that they're scarcely found in good shape I've developed more of an affinity for those that survived. More half-priced cocktail sets for me, please! I'm glad you and I both had fun at their last show of the year.
@@TheAntiqueNomad The old cast iron kettles just have a warm, "homey" feel to them that I like. They make me think of fireplaces and wood cook stoves. I've heard of people using the old floor grates for outdoors B-B-Q grates, and, from what I'm told, they are fantastic for that. LOL! I don't miss the Dr Pepper stuff often. I just never thought the wood handled mugs fit in with much of anything...maybe a picnic(?). I couldn't believe the price you got that cocktail set! That was, indeed, a steal of a deal! There were several things...that I definitely don't have space for...that I would've had to threaten my fingers with a mouse trap, to keep from buying them! That Looked like a really super-good show!
I am from Indianapolis IN and I have never heard of Princeton. Go figure! The green Blenko piece was pretty and so is the ample sized red swung vase. I have been collecting swung vases for about a year and I love them.
It must be a torture seeing things so cheep and you can't transport them.❤
Princeton Nj is the real Princeton
Hello George! I figure I’d ask you because- we’ll, you’re so knowledgeable about everything vintage and antique. I was able to acquire a bunch of vintage Christmas elf knee huggers from a neighbor whose 97 year old father who passed away. The family didn’t want them despite me informing them they were actually worth money! I see them in antique malls and my jaw dropped! They wouldn’t accept any money so I felt lucky they were being so generous. The question is although in good condition, the felt is faded and discolored and I thought about getting fabric medium and paint as I’m an artist- and refurbish them. I thought perhaps I’d ruin their value. What are your thoughts. To paint or not to paint?I have no intention of selling them. I’d appreciate your feedback from you or any of your subscribers as well. Thanx! Learn so much fro you!❤
Thumbs up yall
Thank you!
Lisa's spot was sweet, especially the green bulb under the crate. Do they charge tax for these types of sales? Love love love the Blenko George!! Seeing that put a smile on my face. It was AWESOME to see Beth in the flesh!!!!!
I was so glad she was there! I have to pay sales tax but I usually include it in the price
Again being an avid Antique person most of what I collect and deal in is prewar Holidaycomic toys prewar Disney also deal on some of the 60s Hanna-Barbera and the shows came out not anything past 70 early payments early Beatles pretty much pop-culture .you have an amazing amount of knowledge on general antiques glassware jewelry. Celluloid covered pin backs and vast array of other stuff.I’m impressed, I have a photographic memory so that helps me in the business it seems as though you have that same type of memory again enjoy your videos, we can always learn to grow ,as I say, he whose mind is in a box is closed he whose mind is an open door will always find new land
I like that quote! I'm glad you're having fun with this, I like the categories you deal in a lot but don't see a ton of it anymore
So many treasures to see, can’t wait to visit these sales🥰
You don’t look scruffy, at all.!!!🩷
15:40. A $700 clock and that's how they display it? Looks like a $20 clock. Hopefully they were just getting set up.
Thumbs up my friends 🦩🌴🌞
What was that Fenton vase worth? I love it!
21:00 Are the panthers from panther lamps? I rented a furnished apartment once and it came with a panther lamp. The shade was red with a brown fringe. The panther had red eyes. Hideous. I quietly put it in my landlord's furnace room.
I bet it would be worth something now! The panthers were made as lamps, planters and just figures
3K on a "Death Pile" is it's own kind of "Score!"

Hey, George, are you going to be in Mount Dora on November 18? If so, what is your booth number? I'm from Indiana and love the fall colors.
