The Lone Ranger is a fictional masked former Texas Ranger who fought outlaws in the American Old West with his Native American friend, Tonto. The character has been called an enduring icon of American culture.
The Lone Ranger was named so because the character is the only survivor of a group of six Texas Rangers, rather than because he works alone (as he is usually accompanied by his Native American companion Tonto). While details differ, the basic story of the origin of the Lone Ranger is the same in most versions of the franchise. A posse of six members of the Texas Ranger Division pursuing a band of outlaws led by Bartholomew "Butch" Cavendish is betrayed by a civilian guide named Collins and is ambushed in a canyon named Bryant's Gap. Later, an Indian named Tonto stumbles onto the scene and discovers one ranger is barely alive, and he nurses the man back to health. In some versions, Tonto recognizes the lone survivor as the man who saved his life when they both were children. According to the television series, when Tonto left the Reid place with a horse given him by the boy Reid, he gave Reid a ring and the name Kemo Sabe, which he said means "trusty scout". Among the Rangers killed was the survivor's older brother, Daniel Reid, who was a captain in the Texas Rangers and the leader of the ambushed group. To conceal his identity and honor his fallen brother, Reid fashions a black domino mask from the material of his brother's vest. To aid in the deception, Tonto digs a sixth grave and places at its head a cross bearing Reid's name so that Cavendish and his gang would believe that all of the Rangers had been killed.
In many versions Reid continues fighting for justice as The Lone Ranger even after the Cavendish gang is captured. - Zábava
Tonto’s voice is so smooth when they’re whispering, mmmmm
Down, boy!
This guy is no Clayton Moore!!
Yeah. He's better!😎😀
What happened to S03 E37 (episode 115) "Triple Cross" THIS ONE EPISODE HAS NOT BEEN POSTED - SEASON THREE IS NOT COMPLETE
My favourite movie is Lone Ranger I can go to my young age
I love this sow
Have watched this so many times yet only this time connected Turner as Sheb Woolley in his younger days of acting. Great country singer and actor.
Great to see Sheb Wooley as Longstreet Turner and have the final words to the episode. Classic Lone Ranger though more familiar with Clayton Moore than John Hart
Sheb Woolley was a great actor, songwriter. The Purple People Eater top hit 1958, Almost Persuaded No.2 country hit. He was in High Noon, and starred as Pete Nolan in Rawhide. Good to see him here as Longstreet Turner.
It was 70 years ago. Get over it and enjoy the entertainment.
What we need in today's world is a very lot of people like the Long Ranger. To clean up all the corruption that's been going on
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 if the people who grew up on the Lone Ranger didn't do anything , what makes you think people who don't know anything about the Lone Ranger will.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Every generation have people of integrity and moral character and they are real. How do you think the world have kept going especially after the monstrous wars of the 20th century.
Just for grins and giggles, try walking into a Walmart store wearing a domino mask!! 😮😮😮😊😊😊
Thanks for uploading
20:27 For once Tonto and the Ranger get to take a break and let someone else do the fighting.
👍
What i really enjoyed is the shooting out of guns out of the bad guys hands from both stars.
As many others have commented on this video, Episode 37 of Season 3 is missing. I am wondering if that is the "hidden" video which shows as a "Private" video? Maybe it was accidentally marked as PRIVATE when it was published? Sure would be GREAT to see that episode to complete the season. PLEASE make it PUBLIC. Thank you. :)
We need triple cross.. 🤔
The EPISODE BEFORE THIS ONE ( The Lone Ranger S03 E37 Triple Cross ) .....Is Missing :(
00:34 Signed, Kilroy.
I like ed watching the lone ranger , somebody had to stand up to these outlaws to show them crime does not pay. There always a price tag that has to be paid.
You missed Triple Cross
where is the 37th episode?
THIS GUY PLAYING THE LONE RANGER, ISN'T THE REAL ONE, HE IS JUST STANDING IN FOR CLAYTON MOORE, I DON'T REMEMBER HOW MANY TIMES HE STOOD IN FOR CLAYTON MOORE, BUT I THINK IT WAS ABOUT TEN OR TWENTY TIMES.
brian bowes yes
John hart aka phoney loney jk
To Brian Morgan: come on Brian, get with the programme we have been over this many times ! See comments from the early S03 series ...
I’m grateful John Hart stood in a season while Clayton Moore reasoned w/producers for better wages. Otherwise the Lone Ranger series was down the “lost series trail” as many other good ones went.
The Lone Ranger was a Texas ranger therefore he was southern
Great minds think alike! The first time I watched the episode, I thought the exact same thing!
Southern, Northern, it makes NO difference. The Lone Ranger is an American hero.
@@anselford3753 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He was an American that’s what is important and stood for American values.
Texas (at the time) was considered separate from the rest o t country. So, The Lone Ranger was neither a Yankee nor a Rebel.

Adios

He doesn't remove the knife, then lays him on his back. What? 🤨
@brian bowes That means that I posted the comment, then wanted to change something about it, so I edited it and reposted it. I probably noticed a spelling error or something and wanted to change it cause I'm a bit of a perfectionist lol

@brian bowes You keep saying site. Do you mean video? It probably was me. I've watched every Lone Ranger episode and left many comments
