Guitar up front but that rhythm section is nailing it reminds me of some of those crazy 50s early 60s instrumentals J J Jones and Micky Baker Ike Turner kinda thing
sometimes-small world: Nels is jamming here with Chris Morrisey, who often plays with Margaret Glaspy, who is associated with Julian Lage, whom Nels has recorded a record and tours with occasionally. Music
If this was the first tune of the set, I would have had to bail on the rest of the gig, walk back out into the night and leave it there...keep this vibe in my head a little while longer!
This may be better than the Les Paul/Chet Atkins version. That drummer kills me, his movements and faces. Campilongo's trio just exudes emotion and skill in the way they play, move and react; and then you add Cline and it's genius.
Josh Dion Band ,,,,,"Give Love" 2005 and "Anthems For The Long distance" 2008 If you can find them they are fantastic. There's also a live one from 2006...... hard to find
This band's performance is one of the best things I've seen on CZcams. Ever!
Incontestably.
Josh Dion is a great drummer and hilariously entertaining to watch(:
