Paradox is a once in a generation type of dancer. He's one of the very few that can body rubix like that.
Rubix spoke about this on his live soon after. Wish you could pull that vid back. I think he lost and exited in the prior round but Paradox selected him to battle against in this round. (Not sure how that works). He said in his live that after the last battle he was out of it and tired etc. I think mentally he had already exited given the lost in the prior round so when he was selected here; he did it just to show love , honor and respect to Paradox for giving him another chance to battle and recognizing him in these rounds.
When you say "last battle", are you talking about his loss against Lyndsay ?

The 3 dancers in the quarter finals battle against the 3 judges for a space in the semi-finals. After the judge battles are finished though there's an uneven number of contestants left (3), so the dancer with no opponent gets to select a previously eliminated dancer to return to the competition for a chance at redemption.
The crowd went wild when Paradox challenged Rubix after defeating Alex. It was one of the best moments at SDF. I saw it during the livesteam, but haven't found it since. Much respect to both guys.

@@rami1329 "Officially", its gone. It was on the SDF site for around a month (5 euros). The Paradox vs Alex video on youtube cuts off right before Paradox challenges Rubix. I havent tried looking since after I saw it the day of.

Coming back to this cuz I really liked Doc's mourning intro. It also hurt me seeing Rubix lose this way. I felt this could have been different if Paradox had gone first though. Even though he said it didn't matter, it does give a slight edge when too elite dancers are in a battle. The second dancer gets to take note of the hits and misses of the first and infuses that into his response. All the same my man got served...

Yeah, my interpretation is that Rubix didn't go in this with a mindset to win but to have fun. You can tell by how he's not facing Paradox, holding his hands in sign of respect to him, trying to get the crowd engaged in the vibe and so on. Just out of respect for Paradox picking him back up in Semi, he had to clearly communicate to Paradox that this was an exchange more than a battle. We not here for blood, but for honor.

Paradox dance is never broken he’s got the groove the flow the timing rhythm and he’s gonna give you those illusions that you see people like Rubix or kefton display buh he doesn’t have to break away from the rhythm to do so. So I see it as a ggs either way💯 as Rubix said he has more to learn and that’s humble and a respectable thing to say he saw something his opponent had that he felt like he should take and develop himself 💯 buh all these excuses is lowering that aspect of his humbleness cause it’s like him saying oh I coulda “won anyways I’m better I was jus tired”🥹
Imo you never get that impression in the video that he was thinking that last quote. Also, I'm not making excuses, I'm rationalizing on how Rubix acted in this battle. To reiterate : he already knows he's not on the same level, so he took the challenge like a champ and didn't express any Ego whatsoever in the end. But let's hypothesize : even if he was more battle-heavy in the video but kept the same energy, or was less tired than Paradox and was going all out in his rounds, I still wouldn't believe one second that he'd admit to winning, he'd still say that he lost just out of respect. It doesn't downgrade his humbleness in any way. Say for example if Rubix was acting like Gonzy against Alex and was going ham, he'd still give the win to his opponent, because in the end : who deserves it more in this context ?

Like he’s not in battle mode or sum. i wouldn't even say its not humble for Rubix to say he didn't lose, to me that's just he was mentally over it. I woulda thought as a competitior, he would say "I won" even though he know he lost, so he could get in another round. He was selling himself short imo. It looked like he had defeated himself from the start, you could tell by his eyes and his body language

People are making drama up. Rubix was clearly gassed and not nearly at this best. Paradox was at his best. People need to stop reading too much into this.
Paradox was not at his best lol if you check out his rounds against lumi in the finals he was more in the zone stop making excuses for rubix as he would of lost either way

But the thing is, you can read it in alot of ways, anything could be valid depending on your pov : it was schooling session from Paradox / Paradox went bonkers out of revenge against Rochka (a battle act, so nothing serious) / Rubix couldn't believe he got picked back up / Rubix, after going all out previously, couldn't muster more energy because when you pause after effort and pick it back up, your body doesn't respond well to that (see Rochka's stamina management in 2019) / Paradox wanted Rubix back because he respects his level for his age, but he also sees potential growth in him and wants to let it known to him etc etc ...
You can discuss about alot of things, but it can be interesting to get a live exchange between Paradox and Rubix on this battle, cause its not just a typical battle.
@@SpergKing nah Paradox is in his prime here. Rubix looks like he needed some milk and to go to bed. Look at Rubix’s battles from the last 6 months. You can tell when he is tapped in and tapped out. This looks like he was tapped way out creatively and just going through the motions. Read other peoples comments about what Rubix said on social media. It can happen to any dancer. There are times Paradox is tapped out too. Happens to anyone: Majid a lot these days, sometimes even Alex, Larry from Les Twins. You can tell when two people are battling at max.
