I think that this is unbelievable!! He should never be released. And he will be let out in 22.5 yrs. So, he'll be middle aged, so probably half his life left, whereas his family is gone. Yes, he was young, but he did something unimaginable. He didn't just sneak out and go to a party, he murdered people, his own family!! He is safer behind bars. Others are certainly safer.

It looks like his family helped to lead him to his actions. They seemed to care more about what others think rather than see their childs issues.

Forget churches, bibles and every so called 'religion'. As long as human beings have roamed the earth you have had a subset of those beings who seek to harm others. Human morality proceeds anything written in a fictional holy book. Proclaiming to be 'religious', ' faithful' or 'church going' means ziltch and doesn't automatically grant you respect or reverence, indeed I'm automatically weary and highly sceptical of anyone stating thus.

Cudos to the 911 responder how she kept calm and kept Jake calm is amazing and I'm sure by calming him it stopped him from killing his other sister and grandparents...as for what happens when he's up for parole umm no way and definitely not while he's remaining silent and not talking to a counsellor...that poor family though I can't imagine their pain...two murdered by another family member they'd be wondering why they didn't notice anything odd about him I'm sure😥💜
Lousy acting, dramatic pauses, “experts” who look like actors & emote (rather than discuss, or just say) - this Copycat series is usually something I keep well away from, because I find it nearly unwatchable. However, I haven’t heard of this case before, so in order to find out something that could be told in 10 minutes or so of interesting information, we have to suffer through all this padding. No way I’m thumbing this up!

2012- Texas- A 17 year old teenager named Jake Evans watched a movie, Halloween starring Michael Myers and turned into a real life event after he killed his mother and sister following the movie happenings. Jake Called 911 and said he just shot and killed his mother and sister. Jake was arrested and he admitted to the killings and told the police everything including that he identified with Michael Myers in the movie. The movie inspired Jake and Jake thought his sister Malory just like Michael Myers sister in the movie as a racist. After Jake repeatedly shot and killed his mother and sister he wanted to go his grandparents house opposite the street and kill his elder sister and the other family members too. Then he stopped and went inside his house and called 911.
A good series ! Who left a gun and ammunition for a teenager to get hold of ? Jake was given 45 years in prison. Finally Jake became a bad Joke.

When I first heard the 911 call I couldn't even imagine...basicly anything. There was not much explaining, better said, backstory to the call. He spoke in a dead tone, I thought he just realized what he had done and grieving.
