Many houses have more dogs than people too. I have power and my neighbors across the street don't. All it takes is a truck, and 500 people in an apartment complex I used to live and across the street from me would get power.

Day 7 reported down broken power line by my house 7 days ago! Called the cops and fire dept cause the tree was on fire ! They came and left and did nothing ! Since then I have called everyday and was able to report this to 3 people ! I have yet to see a truck come ! But yet everyday I see power trucks just driving by and the line is down as clear as day ! So what’s going on here ?

if a 3rd party tree service doesn't get there in time to clear it up, line workers wait a bit and then move on to next area, so sadly your area might be pushed back to a bottom of the list. someone commented this after an argument broke out at a gas station parking lot because line workers were leaving without fixing anything and that was their explanation.

All of these local newscasters misrepresent the number of ACTUAL PEOPLE are without power -- the reported figures are for "customers" which conservatively translates at a much higher number -- 500K customers without power is really 500K times 2.75 people per electrical connection so still over 1MM without power...
