I asked a buddy who worked on offshore oil rigs about welding steel to stainless steel, and he said that wasn't difficult 🤔 but what was difficult was welding stainless steel to wood.😮🤣

Another great video! Glad the owner went with bracing instead of welding to the SS. Now in 20 years they can be reused heh, pretty much lifetime material. Also, holy cow at 9:39, a doe walked up to the wash with an engine drive going, what a great area!

Dunno about hanging sections....there are square tube trusses welded under the main pipe sections that are painted red maybe that is what you see...those tubing truss sections stiffen the main 4" beam pipes

@@runifuceeme406 are you saying that you would have built the entire awning structure from stainless steel?...you say go with a "proper stainless to stainless repair"...please explain then what is improper about bracing a stainless post to a mild steel structure so it doesn't wobble....this is not a repair...I built the awning from all brand new materials and the vacuum equipment is all brand new also.
