Я тоже удивляюсь этому феномену. Сначала торкают относительно неглубокие композиции, затем они отходят на второй план, как-бы отваливаются подобно первой ступени или скорлупе, и на сцену выходят эти непризнанные ранее «жемчужины».

The Worst Crime. Regarding "Eternal", after several playing of this song I was impressed, extremely nice dark melody, best Martin lead-vocal song since Playing The Angel for me. I wish it was like a prelude before beginning Going Backwards in tour, it would be great, at least something new than traditional beginning when wonderful Dave as frontman begins and lead the whole concert
"Eternal" is one of the best, haunting and beautiful. The worst is probably, like the title already tells, "Fail" or "Scum".

I'll agree in one sense, but in another, not really. Their newest album for me is sorta average, I like half the album (Going Backwards, Where’s the Revolution, Cover Me, Poison Heart, So Much Love, No More (This is the Last Time)). The album before it (Delta Machine) was an amazing record, that I'd rank it with Some Great Reward, Black Celebration, Music for the Masses, Violator, Songs of Faith and Devotion, & Playing the Angel as a true Depeche Mode classic. But they still are an amazing band, they can still put out killer shows at their age, Dave is still as charismatic as he was 30 years ago. They get better with age in terms of a live band.

I've been a fan since 1981 I was 4 yes 4 years old I just instantly took to DM like a fly on honey... they just keep getting better and Dave still looks amazing.

Depeche Mode is such a great band and so underrestimated amongst rock bands. What started as an electric pop band really evolved in one of the great rock bands of the last decades. And my God yes what a singular and great voice.
