@Purple9721. it was very emotional. I felt like a new person. I was crying really hard when I felt what I could only describe as a HUGE release of something in my stomach. I saw my Oncologist on Thursday and was told that the cancer that was in my stomach was COMPLETELY GONE!!! I told her about the Reiki session. I had made a Facebook post the day I had Reiki so people knew I wasn't lying about my stomach. BTW, I didn't know I had cancer in my stomach! I knew it had metastasized to my bones and liver. I was told there's still some in my back. Didn't know about that either, smh

I suffer terribly with rheumatoid arthritis and I’m 47. Over the last 2 years it’s grown so much worse and my life is now limited due to all the chronic pain . Then a year ago I lost my soul dog , I’m just devastated . Can Reiki help me?
You say this energy is in all of us which I Do agree, but why is it professed by most Reiki practitioners that the energy comes from the "attunement". Many people will say that without the attunement you cant do Reiki. (Some do some dont)
The attunement is like a « frequency button » - like on the radio. With this button our body is able to receive the particular energies (which are at certain frequencies) related to the three (or more) symbols. Without the attunement, the energies arethere, they are all around, but our body, our energy system, is not able to « identify » them. BUT without attunement you can do other energy healing though. You imagine that you take the energy from the Earth, you channel it through yr body in yr hand and to the receiver. This is not Reiki, this is another energy, another frequency.
Once you are attuned you will often feel your hands grow hot when you need to do healing as someone needs help around you. It is not uncomfortable. But while you are healing people they can feel this warmth. They know it is working. More and more Dr's are turning more to natural healing. It is not the answer to all problems, of course, but it can be used in conjunction with it all. One thing may work or not, but we must work with whatever is going to work best to heal. People all can help people by praying, or being kind and loving and just touching ( as even babies just born, were tested and found that babies in the nursery will do much better if helped and felt love. ) Just that the attunement gets the flow going and makes it stronger. Just using it though can help people in some way, it is just not as strong in people without it, but the "intention" is most important, so if you do anything as such with love in your heart, it will work to some degree.

Sex would definitely be considered, in general, a form of energy exchange, not necessarily reiki and by definition it would not be reiki. If you're a reiki practionar you could certainly incorporate reiki into your love making, but sex within itself is not reiki. Hope this helps!

Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my co-worker got great results with it.
I've been practicing Reiki for 2 years now and one of the things that I love most about it is that it works with all religions and doesn't go against them. I'm shocked to hear this. There is a website for Christian Reiki. Maybe go there and see if you can find a practitioner more aligned with your views.
Reiki does not require a person to have any religious beliefs. In fact, Reiki is effective whether a person believes in a Hiigher Power, God, Source Energy, Universal Life Force, etc. A person who calls themselves an Atheist can benefit just as much. I cannot speak for other Reiki Masters. My philosophy is that this gentle, loving energy is unconditional and non judgmental, that we are made of the same energy, one energy that flows through all of us. A person attuned and trained to do Reiki uses their body as a conduit for this energy to flow through them and into the client, in effect, re-attuning, rebalancing and reconnecting them with who they really are: individual souls, all equal, all worthy and all loved. The stressors in our lives can be overwhelming and we forget or maybe were never told how powerful, how loving and how good our true nature is. With multiple Reiki treatments we can learn to release anxieties, traumas, physical pain, illnesses, etc. There are many types of "energy work" but they all use the same energy, just different methods of tapping into it. 🙂
I’m not saying it’s not real but I feel reiki has a level of placebo to it. I have trouble believing in things that are Woo Woo and although I have never done reiki I believe due to my personality I would not notice the benefits.
I’m along the same line of thought as you. However, I think I’m going to give it a try just to see if it actually works to help me with my issues…. All the while being a complete skeptic.

Very true.. I went in a huge skeptic and am now a reiki master teacher trained under Tracey Grasse. Its a life changing experience. It helped me with injuries, insomnia, and addictions. It literally saved my life. Try it!

If you have to explain what "reiki" is, and what "blocks" are, and formalize it, why not just call yourself a Relaxation Therapist? "Reiki" and "Master" are very pretentious and go against every spiritual tradition which contend that healers do nothing, and the best among them are the most humble beings on earth. The relaxation techniques you are talking about are for people to learn to do within themselves. You cannot do that work for them.
