How to PAIR your New DJI Avata! DJI Fly App Update (Quick Start Guide)

Heres the quick start guide on how to setup, pair and update the app and firmware for your brand new DJI Avata FPV Drone.
I use my DJI V2 Goggles and the DJI motion Controller
We load up the DJI Fly app and update firmware and connect our phones via usb to the goggles and pair all together,

Can't believe we have to watch a video to figure out how to sync something out of the box in 2023 .... But thank you my good sir! You're the only dude to solve the basic pairing problem that even DJI doesn't cover lol. Subbd for your effort to show us a "straight to the point" pairing tutorial.

It’s been 2 days I still can’t connect my avata. On the top off the drone next to avata logo, the light doesn’t pop up when I turn it on. Any idea why?

i bought my goggles seperatly and also the fpv controller and the goggle doesnt see to want to pair with my phone no matter what i do (i did everthing in the app and watched youtube tutorials but it didnt work)(updated the firmware and activatet it)
Do you have the older goggles or newer pair? Have you pushed the pair button on the goggles? I’ll do my best to help
Hey Mosh. Trying to connect my Googles V2 to my iPhone 12 by the original cable from Apple for days now. Doesn't work. Pretty annoying. Do you know a solution?
Hey buddy! The cable you’re using is good right? Is everything else connecting properly and linking properly? Have you downloaded the most recent software for your phone as well as the app needed for the drone? Are all software updates complete? Have you tried airplane mode and then connecting to the WiFi with and without the cable plugged in? Just a few troubleshooters…
Probier mal einen komplett neuen Controller einzeln zu kaufen und mit der Drohne zu Perlen. Viel Spaß kann man sich mal ein paar Tage für freinehmen
I have a dji fpv, if i bind my v2 goggle to avata require to update both right, if i bind back my dji fpv require to again update then only can bind???
Every time I’ve switched between DJI fpv and avata I’ve had to rebind each device with the phone and accessories (controller & goggles) but no need to update every time. The little white box will appear saying firmware update in the middle of the screen but it only takes 60 seconds and then I can rebind each device

Seems avata connected the v2 goggle can't change the resolution?
Hey in the settings inside the googled you can switch between 1080p and 4K, unfortunately the goggles only record in 1080, but if you use a SD card inside your drone, you can record 4K 60fps but ya gotta change that setting inside your goggles.
@@MoshMob there is no option for selecting video quality in my avata, while bind the v2 goggle,

I tried this and in the exact order and when I plug the goggles in nothing happens. My Avata beeps every 10 seconds and is flashing all the colors in sequence. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm at my wits end with this drone.
Hi there buddy! I’m no pro but I’ll do my best. To better help understand, have you gone to the App Store and updated the DJI fly app? If yes, you have all 3 devices on and ready to go, without phone plugged into goggles, go into updated DJI fly app, then, if there’s no firmware update icon that appears, plug in your phone to the goggles via usb. You should be able to follow instructions on your phone from there. If you’re past all this, lmk.

@@MoshMob No change yet. I'm dumping trying to update the firmware on my FPV drone with my wife's phone. I can't even find DJI Assistant 2 for her phone. I'm downloading it to my pc.
Once I get that done I'll try setting up my Avata. I'll update you. Thanks for your support, brother. I really appreciate it. I've been flying drones for 7 years and never ran into this type of b.s. situation. ✌
@@TheMichaelBeck sorry I didn’t respond sooner brother man. These things can be finicky and annoying. It took me days to figure out the DJI fpv and had to go buy the iPhone 11 I have now just to operate it. Something about iOS 10 or something. So after spending $1500 on the drone and accessories, I then had to spend $300 for a phone plan from AT&T just to have the app I barely use…
I still can't update the firmware on my V2 goggles. The DJI fly app on the phone does nothing when I connect to it and trying with DJI Assistant 2 on my pc it does the first part (downloading) but fails on the second part of the update (Transmitting)!! Am I the only person in America having this issue?! I want to tell DJI where they can stick their drones! Anybody speak Chinese?!
I even tried to bind my V2 goggles like the pamphlet says by putting the drone and goggles into pairing mode. Nothing. I'll PayPal you $50 if you can help me fix this situation. I have the FPV drone that needs a firmware update and I can't get that to work either. I can't get past the step where you pick the FPV drone and it says select goggles and plug into the phone. I love my drones when I'm flying them. When they won't pair or update the firmware I want to shoot them with my shotgun. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please don't make call DJI and speak with someone I can't understand.

Michael-- I just went through this and was finally able to bind everything. The step they neglect to say is: once you've already turned on everything, THEN hold the on switch for 4 seconds to get the device into bind mode. Once I did that, the rest started: firmware update and everything linked. Good luck!

Where this dji fly app???App??? Samsung store don't have it
Do you have iOS10 or above? I had to upgrade my phone when I bought the drone cause cheaper phones don’t have the upgraded software.
