To me is really funny, that some of Serbs or Croatians here writting about that, that are some players of Slovenia Serbs.
All of them were born to Slovenian mothers and were also born in Slovenia. All of them were raised in Slovenian basketball school. Can you accept that fact? We use to live in the same country - former Yugoslavia. Offcourse we are all "mixed", but that makes us not less Slovenes.

Absolutely agree with you. I am for instance Serbian and proud of my Montenegro origin. But i am Serbian. Same with Dragic and Doncic, they are Slovenians and should be proud of their Serbian origin. But since they feel like Slovenians and play for Slovenian national team, we should all respect that. Case closed, they are Slovenians. We Serbs will still love them and above all, respect them as phenomenal basketball players. Because we know what good basketball is, we can certainly appreciate their magical skills. Guys like that don't belong to one nation, they belong to the entire humanity anyway.

This should have been the finals, no doubt. So much fun to watch Slovenia play, especially Dragic with all his emotion and energy. Wish Slovenia wins it all now. And Doncic - a man in a boy's body. Even on a poor shooting night he's having a big impact, a quality even some NBA superstars lack. Doncic not going 1 or 2 in the draft would be a huge mistake. Shout out to the other players as well, having more than two superstars but a real team is what makes Slovenia so tough to beat

This game was a milestone in a sense that Slovenian team broke the mental barrier of shooting itself in the foot as they did many times in the past. Talent was never questionable, but the mental power was. Not after this. Slovenia smashed Spain with beautiful basketball and then defeated Serbia with patient basketball. That's how you win titles.
I hope Croatian team can learn something from this. We've been shooting ourself in the foot even longer than the Slovenes, which is quite remarkable. :D

Spain didn,t bring S. IBAKA or MIROTIC cos of a stupid error of comunication, we also lost by injury our best forwards S. LLUL and A. ABRINES in the beginning of the tournoument, so we suffered in that position.
COACH KOKOSKOV was brilliant, he studied Spain well, and knew exactly how to take advantage of our weakness.
Anyways this Slovenia team looks very solid and has very talented players, i think they will win Eurobasket 2017

it will be barely impossible to continue the success that our golden generation achieved.
It all started with Navarro,Gasol, F.Reyes, in 1999.. we have won medals in all the EUROBASKET competitions from 1999-2017 except year 2005 were we finished 4th, also winning medals in all the OLYMPICS since 2008 and a WORLD CHAMIONS in 2006.
I don,t think i will live to see another generation as talented for Spain... not only talented players, but also very competitive, great chemistry and very high IQ of the game.
In the other hand, Spain still has fire power with 8 active NBA players, all young, except Marc gasol (32 years)...
Spain is not dead yet, and will still be contender for winning medals,
but i,m afraid they won,t be so succesfull or special as they have been the past years.

Congratulations from Greece for beating Spain! Slovenia seems much more coherent and while Dragic was undoubtedly the leader he scored 15pts which shows that it was a team effort. Also Kokoskov great coach, knows how to use each player. Unfortunately our team had a lousy coach and we couldn't reach the semis. Congrats again and I hope you beat Serbia in the final!!
