I love it when the 3 of them have a conversation about strategy at the 9-10 minute mark, just shows how the bond of dueling makes strong forces and how they're all good duelists too.

Vetrix kidnapped hart, nearly killed kite on national TV to send a message, used his sons as a means to an end. He even admits that his children disappoint him no matter what they do.
Faker LIED to Kite about what was really going on, was willing to risk Hart’s life and was going to kill Kite as well. Let’s not forget he betrayed Vetrix, starting his decent to madness.

Dr. Faker is similar to Dr. Eggman and Vector is similar to Neo Metal Sonic. Also Vector sounds more sinister in his energy form than he does in his true form.
Probably an act so he can pull the wool later if need be. Granted, he thinks he's winning now, so a gravely, sinister voice would be the right persona.

It’s probably due to them using Number cards and perphaps even Barian worlds power in their duels. Notice that every duel involving the Barians or even puppets like Dr Faker Vetrix and his sons even Kite involve the damage being real.

It negates all effects on the field, not the GY. Heart Earth Dragon's effect activates from GY.

I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to talk about this: Starting in Zexal, the writers decided to be really ambiguous about whether or not the “holograms” during duel can actually hurt the duelists.
To be fair to them, in the original DM anime; When Kaiba duels against the training computer to test Obelisk for the first time, he purposely disables the safeties on the duel disk system to put himself in as much physical danger as possible. So, it has been long established that duel disk tech itself has the potential to be lethal. Here’s the problem: In the three previous series, the writers made it very clear when the duelists where in life-threatening danger, usually by blatantly stating that the characters were in a Shadow Duel.
The exact definition of a Shadow Duel changes from series to series: in DM, it’s a Shadow Game, where the loser dies; in GX, it’s any duel against someone using magic dark power, like the Shadow Riders or Yubel; in 5D’s, it was duels against Dark Signers, using the power of the Earthbound Immortals and the Netherworld. And in all cases, it was clear that in these duels that damage was real, and the duelists themselves could die.
Starting in Zexal, there’s no clear defining line between normal duels and life threatening duels, because Zexal doesn’t have its own version of a “Shadow Duel.” Think about how many times Yuma gets thrown around by attacks from his opponent’s monsters. It happens every duel, even in low stakes duels against regular people.
There actually is. It just depends on the duelist Yuma duels. For instance a Number user v Yuma has higher stakes since Astral would be affected resulting in losing the numbers if Yuma lost. While a Non-number user v Yuma has less stakes due to Numbers not being on the line or souls. Or in Zexal ll actually dying.
Luis Moreno, I see what you’re saying, but my complaint is still valid: Even in the friendliest, low stake duels, Yuma is always getting thrown around by holograms that aren’t real. GX had this problem too, with characters reacting to “damage” from holograms during non-Shadow Duels.
Here’s the linchpin in this whole thing: The Duel Gazers. We don’t know 100% how they work. All we know is: 1) If you are wearing one, you can see any Duel that’s happening, 2) Duel Gazers are necessary to see the holograms at all, 3) If you take off your Duel Gazer in the middle of a Duel, you can’t see any of the holograms. My guess is it’s a type of AR, with the DG communicating with the Duel Disk to project the holograms. Now, we can debate the specifics of fictional technology forever, but instead, I want to offer a very simple solution.
If a duel is supposed to be life threatening, and Yuma is actually taking physical damage from being attacked, then his DG should come off BUT he’s still able to see the holograms. Caswell did this during Yuma v. Trey, and saw that Trey’s Trap Card was really destroying everything around them. It’s not hard to write in the script: “The blast from X’s monster sending Yuma flying, and knocks off his duel gazer,” or “Astral tells Yuma to take off his duel gazer, and Yuma sees that the monsters are still there.”
Honestly, this is probably just a nick pick. I’m big enough to admit that I prefer how Duel Monsters and 5Ds handled this kind of thing to how GX, Zexal, and Arc-V did. I prefer Yugioh when it’s more grounded in its scope and setting (even though 5D’s is my favorite, that was the start of the “Everything in this world comes back to Duel Monsters” type of setting). As it stands, I like Zexal more than I dislike it, and the things I dislike are ALL subjective.
@@Anthintendo I know I'm super late to the party, and it probably isn't my place to speak, but Arc-V actually subverts this entirely by making it so the holograms explicitly have solid mass (and this is also a plot point related to the final antagonist of the show). So yes, all duels in Arc-V are dangerous simply by the nature of how the Augmented Reality Combat System works (in other words, it's not even remotely ambiguous), it's just that some of them have higher stakes.
Probably the most basic example of this is that the part of the duel disk that players put the cards on (I don't know the exact terminology) is also a holographic projection. How would they be able to put cards on it if it wasn't "hard light"?

Kite should have beaten faker in this episode cos neo galaxy eyes gets an extra attack for each overlay unit it absorbs right so he should have been able to attack and destroy heart earth dragon like he did faker LP go from 5150 to 150 and then he should’ve used his extra attack to attack directly and win so wut kind of bs is going on here
When Heart-Earth goes to the GY, it returns with its power bolstered by 1000 points for every banished monster.

I atill have unansered question how is shark important and caught ut in this story with dr faker betraying kazuma and byron and why did vetrix wanted quattro to hurt shark's sister and him by disqualafying him from the finals. And the more important unansered questions did vetrix find out about faker's goal and did he know that shark and his sister were barians and hurt them because they unknowly are faker's allies at this point
