Dark wooden floors……..this house is gorgeous, tastefully planned out and executed. The Wallpaper so beautiful on one wall, for your children you could be inspired to get a timeless pattern maybe. I live in a warm climate in the Canary Islands, yet I find myself strangely attracted to Sweden.
I lived in sweden for all my life (46 years) and sweden is only nice to see on photos, we have summer about 3 weeks per year, maybe 4-5 weeks in the south part. Rest of the year its rain, windy, and winter is very long cold,ice,shovel snow. I would trade place with you anytime. Now we planning to relocate to a warmer country but i regret we did not do it long time ago..

För vit och skandinavisk inredning, ni tänker rätt, men våga lägg in lite färg, typ, Hollywood möter skandinavisk, enkel stil. Ni är så vackra och fina och sluta aldrig med det ni glr!❤️
I LOVED THIS HOUSE! I really like oak floars as I think they look good and are very practical. The dark floors look awesome but I find trata dust shows up more. Bueno that might depend on the finish... The rusticy raw doors were to die for. I am ready to move in that house

In this style of house (modern barn) the dark floor works, but I don’t think it will in your own more modern style house. Same goes for the black painted ceiling and wooden barn style doors. In this house it all comes together and works well. Consult an interior stylist/designer to find out what works for your own house (the way light enters the house is a BIG factor in all these choices), this house is already quite dark because of the sloped ceiling and quite small windows. And tbh it almost looks like Mickis changes her mind every 5 minutes (good luck with that Jens ;)
I love the barnhouse. It is very well planned and stylish interior colours. I agree that dark flooring is cosy we have dark floorboards in our guest bedrooms. I like it. As Mickis says you can put down a light coloured rug on a dark floorboard. However a basement might benefit from light coloured floors and walls. I also have white walls and white doors which contrast nicely with dark floorboards. I vote for light colours in Mickis's basement.
From a foreigner perspective who know nothing about swedish houses style. This house looks like what I envisioned when i though of a swedish or at least scandinavian house style. It realy looks modern but still different from other houses elswhere in europe.

There were two nearly identical houses built next to us. One with dark and one with light wood flooring. The one with dark wood flooring looks way better but there are already so many scratches and dents after two months.. Many of the scratches are near the dining table caused by the chairs and children dropping things. The house with light floors looks like nobody ever set foot on the floor. If you don't care about scratches that are visible then go for it.. but if you are like me and always want to have a pristine floor then dark floors aren't for you! :)
In the U.S., it's almost always dark floors and they look great! I had to get used to light floors after moving to Denmark, but now I love those, too. (Go for the dark! They look very unique in Scandinavia and diff from everyone else's.)

I’ve lived in a home with dark floors and now live in a home with a light floor. I prefer lighter colors because you can still make your home feel cozy especially where you have 4 seasons. Darker tones and rooms are more depressing and bring down your mode. I enjoy cozy light rooms that make you feel happy.
@@vagenmotskilsmassan that's what I thought, however you keep good care of your house so that won't be an issue.. We are going to revamp our interior and we are going with a black stone tile in the kitchen, hallway area and a lighter color wooden floor in our living room and TV area 👌
I vote light floors because the whole hous looked a little small due to the dark colours. I think it looks suffering for a long time period. So I say light floors also your doors are going to be white. The contrast to dark floors could be too much

If you get a polished granite top it’s the best of both worlds: doesn’t mark and natural stone.
