  • NEXT STOP... TEXAS HILL COUNTRY!
    (EPISODE 276)
    ℹ️ About this episode:
    On this episode of LivinRvision, we are on our way to the Texas Hill Country. Before we adventure out to see as much of this beautiful hill country as we can, Pie Girl has two pie shops that she wants to make a quick stop at to see how good they are. They were both recommended by you, our viewers!
    We also received an offer to stay at one of our viewers RV sites at a new resort called, Firefly Luxury RV Resort in Fredericksburg, Texas. If you are interested in staying at this exact same site, use this link here ( resnexus.com/r... ). This link will take you directly to their (James & Kimberly) RV site (Lot 90). We would like to help them out as much as possible to show our appreciation for hosting us at this gorgeous resort that is in a perfect location!
    We have two days to explore the area and we found that two days is not near enough time to see and do everything this area has to offer. But that’s okay because it gives us a reason to come back again and explore more of the Texas hill country. In this video we explore Proud Pie in Katy, TX, Texas Pie Company in Kyle, TX, Fredericksburg, TX, The Enchanted Rock, The National Museum of the Pacific War, Luckenbach, TX, multiple wineries and Das Peach Haus where you can also rent an Airstream as an Airbnb!
    You don’t want to miss this episode!

    Neat share.
    Have you two ever visited New Braunfels, Texas. Another neat little town in Texas. It’s about a half hour away from both Austin and San Antonio. It has German heritage and many of the buildings have beautiful murals painted in them depicting the history and forefathers and mothers of the town.

If anyone is questioning, just go to the link and put in a date and you’ll see the daily rate for that date. Cancellations we are not familiar with and didn’t see what that was. Yes. Each time we have changed to a different RV, we released a video and talked about the differences as well as in talking about the differences in various. Ideas along the way. We give little pieces of information within numerous videos also so that there is little nuggets of info within multiple videos regardless of the title. If someone skips a video because of the title or skips ahead during the video, they’re going to miss things.

    What software do you use for your editing? Your videos are excellent!

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  Před 7 měsíci +3

      Thank you! It really has very little to do with the software. They all do all the basics with some few differences and add-ons that you can purchase and utilize, but “you” still have to do all the editing and creativity. I use Final Cut Pro.

    I've been to Fredericksburg and Luckenbach twice in the last 3 years as well as many other places you have been, I'm always amazed that you see different things than I do! Guess I'm more blue collar than you! I spent the night twice in the Luckenbach parking lot! I'm curious why, with a van, you stay in these high dollar resorts? I know you hit the Cracker Barrels so you do have some boondocking capability. I sold my Class A just to get away from row camping! I just wanted to say that your B-Roll really helps to tell the story and gives a better sense of the place. I hope to do as good as you do with my own videos! -Jimmie

    Have you given any thought to settling down, or do you "hopefully" plan on continuing your freedom? Any regrets?

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  Před 7 měsíci +3

      No plans as of yet. The only thing we want to eventually do is by a small place to put all of our things from storage in and utilize as a place to stay very short term once in a while.
      No regrets, the beauty of the country and the people we meet keep us going. We can easily stop anytime we want. We have been full-time over 5 years now. 👍🏻🧡😊🤓

    How much power are you getting from your solar setup?

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  Před 6 měsíci

      Just 300 watts which is only like a trickle charge for the 1,260 ah of batteries it has.

    • @youtubeviewer4356
      @youtubeviewer4356 Před 6 měsíci

      @@LivinRVision I realize there are 300 watt worth of solar panels on the roof. Are you seeing 100% of that capacity being actually delivered? I'm not sure if you have the renogy or another charge controller installed but there should be an app with the metrics. I thought the 300 was more of a theorical max but would be lower in real world use. If you are getting 100% power from those, that would be amazon. Please let me know? Thanks.

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  Před 6 měsíci

      @youtubeviewer4356 the reason I mentioned the solar panels are basically just a trickle charge to the house batteries is because they literally are and yes, those 2 Lithionics batteries DO provide the usage time/demonstrations that we have explained in various videos. You can’t find 1,260 ah in any other van manufacturer out there. The solar panels don’t do hardly anything for the house batteries. The unit we are currently testing has the Adventurer solar charger and you can adjust how much you dedicate to the house or chassis batt. If you are interested in the Strada-ion, and you need more info than that, we’d suggest sending us an email and we can point you in the right direction to get what you need. As you know, we test these units short term and never have to change these settings from factory.

    Just curious, were you guys in the dental business?
    Also, love your travels, but please show more of how you live in the Gretch RV. I’m 75, wife 69 and we’re thinking about one. First time RVers. Love the color of yours. Thank you.

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  Před 6 měsíci

      No, we were not in the dental business (??).
      We have videos out there that show how we live in the van, but that is not something that we keep showing over and over. We throw in little pieces of our lives in the van throughout various videos to keep the videos interesting for the majority of our viewers, not just a select few. You have to watch every video in order to see everything.

      You’ll need $240,000 for a Gretch

    • @LivinRVision
      @LivinRVision  Před 6 měsíci

      You’ll need the same for an Airstream Interstate (Strada-ion comparable) that doesn’t compare. Go to a show sometime and look at the details. They are both pricey, but you get what you pay for pretty much. The value is much better with the Grech with these two.
