I agree with you. This is going to backfire on them. As it is, people who aren't MLS fans, like to say that MLS is a retirement league. And that the reason why Messi is doing so well in MLS is because it's an easy league. This is just going to give confirm their beliefs. People are going to lose interest in watching Inter Miami, even if they do well this season, because they will just think they are doing well because MLS is below the Saudi League.

I understand where you're coming from but let's be real. Honestly, I feel like this is the most people have even paid attention to pre-season. Usually I barely see games from my own club. It's totally different than say MLB pre-season for instance. Right? I mean, it doesn't really matter too much what happens in pre-season. It matters what happens during the regular season and for MLS, half of that doesn't even matter because we have a playoff MLS Cup at the end of the season. You don't have to have the best of records to become a champ in MLS anyway.

Total embarrassment for the league. No way around it. As an MLS fan I'm extremely disappointed. Oh by the way...pre season or not, the world is watching

usa national team players don't play for 1 or 2 mls clubs but saudi national team players play for either al hilal or al Nassar.......one or two teams doesn't define a league if a bottom of the saudi league team would have played against inter Miami who are a bottom of the table club in mls the results would have been different......us national team is far better than saudi national team
