I know it was 4 years ago but I bet you guys still talk about this double-header! Nice job too, no wasted moves. Calm, cool and collected. I found this while I was looking for vids on Horwood Lake Lodge, thinking about taking my wife up there next year. Looks like the lake should still be in great shape! Again, nice job!
Yeah it’s a great fishery for the North Eastern Ontario region. I guide on the lake as well if you’re looking for someone and you do end up coming up!
Nice fish. Cant wait to start fishing out there next year now that i am use to my boat
Wow...Really nice double header!!
Way to go!
Thanks!
Heading up there early July with my brother who has only caught 2 walleye in his life. Staying at Big Bear Camp. Any locations on the lake you can recommend?
howw did you do? I have a camp at big bear and did pretty good this year, heading out for my last fall fish and hope to catch a 30+
@@walkerl2482 We did pretty good! Over 200 fish caught and a few nice 20 to 24's. Only kept 10 16" fish between the 3 of us of a few meals. Need to get the over 25" this year.
I guide on Horwood if youre coming up this summer!
Damn that's crazy, I've never seen Walleye that size. I just cought a 26" Walleye on Abitibi over the weekend and that's the biggest I've seen irl or cought.
CZcams is weird, I've been watching some fishing videos and your channel pops up in my recommended and you turn out not being far from me.
Was there last weekend caught fish rite off of that same rock face lol
Well done. What part of the lake were you fishing? How fast were you trolling? seems quick
Kevin Schmidt speed can change anyday. Experimentation is key! The most important part for finding these bigger fish is using your sonar to find the schools of herring or perch that they’re feeding on.
@@truenorthangling4728 what are the chances of stumbling into this schools while drifting on a hunch haha
Nice job.
Where did you get a detailed map for horwood. I cant find one.
Kevin Schmidt with my lowrance HDS units I’m able to live map the lake and make my own contour charts.
