- Rainbow is a British children's television series, created by Pamela Lonsdale, which ran between five times weekly, twice weekly and once weekly at 12:10 on Tuesdays and Fridays on the ITV network, from 16 October 1972 to 31 December 1992 (with repeated episodes only continuing to be shown after March 1992 until December 1992). It was intended to develop language and number skills for pre-school children, and went on to win the Society of Film and Television Arts Award for Best Children's Programme in 1975.
First appearance of George
I used to enjoy watch Rainbow with my mum when I was a young boy.
Loved watching this with my brother when he was very young. Looked everywhere for an episode (ie this one!) that had Curly and Sraight. Loved it and it always got repeated in each episode. Then 'they' took it out! So sad!
Hugh Portnoy, Fluff Joinson and Ted Richards of Telltale performing "Riding in My Car", a Woody Guthrie tune.
I like the riff used in the film with all the ford cars.
Nice
David Cook. Before Geoffrey.
Zippy was originally voiced by Peter Hawkins O_o
Yes, that's right. Roy Skelton took over from this series.
