I just wanted to come back here to say I stumbled across this series a few months ago and I was totally lost. Well, I passed my TX Journeyman Electrical Exam today! After I finished this series I got a membership at his testing center for $20 & that's all I used to prepare myself until purchasing a PSI Practice Exam. I saved so much money compare to other prep courses! The test wasn't easy but this is a great place the start.
I got my Tennessee Electrical License back in 2006 and took this 10 week coarse as a code refresher and continuing education. I started studying code back in 1996 and this program is an awesome tool for just a refresher or someone trying to acquire their state license. Over the years I have utilized the NEC and both Mike Holt and Tom Henry's programs for continuing education purposes. The electrical code coach program is straight forward and to the point. This program will definitely prepare you to quickly and accurately navigate thru the NEC. The content from the electrical code coach program will prepare you for the LLE and the CE exams. Perry is onto something special here and this will not waste your time if you want or need to go from point A to point B with positive results. I highly recommend this program to new and seasoned electrical workers.

I'm a 20 year electrician and have taken 3 other code classes through the years this class and videos taught me more than all the others. Most of the time I struggled to look up codes and was totally intimidated over trying to test. So for many years I got by by being told what the codes were and remembering them which is fine as long as your always doing the same basic jobs. After watching and learning from the code coach method I'm not scared to look up anything that has to do with electrical code. I now have the know-how and the confidence to tackle and test without being intimidated. Thanks for everything Perry.

I wasted a lot of time. I had my hours to take my Jman test back in 2003. I left the trade and did stupid shit until 3 years ago. 15 years of doing nothing. Imagine what I could have been if I kept with it. Now is now I guess, and only looking forward. Just passed my Massachusetts Journeyman Electrician exam and recieved my license the same day on my second try!! Honestly I have Electrical Code Coach to thank for getting me back on my game after over a century of being out of school and I passed with ease and confidence even finishing the 2 part tests in record time in my opinion . First test allotted 3 hours and took me about 1 hour to finish but took the 3 hours to triple check my answers and essentially took that exam 3 times back to back , incase I caught something I missed the first or second time which happened a few times. Second exam I was allotted 1 hour and finished feeling confident in 15 minutes but double checked to be safe and walked out after 30 minutes on that test . Code Coach from the bottom of my ❤️ THANKYOU! My future is sealed with good fortune now because of this major accomplishment and you helped me and asked me for nothing in return by providing your videos on CZcams for free . I recommend anyone and everyone getting ready to exam to watch these videos and reach out for any extra help you may need. Question Have 500 kcmil. With 285 current load on a 450 amp main breaker. How much additional load can you add? I went to ampacity tab Shows 430 amp for allowable load in 90 degree column on 500 Kcmil. I did not multiply it by 83% since it was over 400 amps. I took 430- 285 = 145 amps. It didn't match any of the answers. What did I do wrong?

Blake A. Kiessling I would say out out all the material covered with this program, well over 95% of what is on the exam is covered. You have to do the practice test for the full experience, learn and perfect your technique, and timing. If you can’t consistently hit 90% or higher on practice test averaging 2.4 minutes or less on any electrical exam, then more practice is need. One thing I noticed about this program is that is focuses on key word analysis which could take a 5 minute question down to a 2 minute question.

Question Have 500 kcmil. With 285 current load on a 450 amp main breaker. How much additional load can you add? I went to ampacity tab Shows 430 amp for allowable load in 90 degree column on 500 Kcmil. I did not multiply it by 83% since it was over 400 amps. I took 430- 285 = 145 amps. It didn't match any of the answers. What did I do wrong?
Try pulling from the 75° c column for your ampacity

Honestly brother the business and law exam is just a keyword and index process, and I did not take in any other book except for the NEC handbook

Blake A. Kiessling I would say out out all the material covered with this program, well over 95% of what is on the exam is covered. You have to do the practice test for the full experience, learn and perfect your technique, and timing. If you can’t consistently hit 90% or higher on practice test averaging 2.4 minutes or less on any electrical exam, then more practice is need. One thing I noticed about this program is that is focuses on key word analysis which could take a 5 minute question down to a 2 minute question.
