I know this is weird to think about especially as I am replying to this four years later, but one of the reasons is that Jordan is pigeon-toed, meaning his feet angle inward; and LeBron has more of a "duck walk" i.e. his feet angle outward. Therefore Jordan is moving more on his toes, so he seems to float. He really does move around the court like a ballerina. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that when he does get in the air he can "hang" longer than anyone because of his absurd vertical (a perhaps apocryphal 48 inches) and AND he can contort his body in midair like a circus freak. I know this is weird to think about especially as I am replying to this four years later, but one of the reasons is that Jordan is pigeon-toed, meaning his feet angle inward; and LeBron has more of a "duck walk" i.e. his feet angle outward.
Therefore Jordan is moving more on his toes, so he seems to float. He really does move around the court like a ballerina. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that when he does get in the air he can "hang" longer than anyone because of his absurd vertical (a perhaps apocryphal 48 inches) and AND he can contort his body in midair like a circus freak. Not only was this amazing man talented, he had amazing body control. High IQ. Made the right plays all the time. MJ played 14 yrs with the bulls and let me tell ya i watched most of his games that was televised which is alot. I was born in 1978. Graduated in 1996. Doesn’t take a math wizard to figure out that I grew up in a great time in basketball. We all are in awe of how great this man is at basketball, but he is beyond just that. The man was classy. He had great charisma and character. He was confident. He had it all and still has it all. He gave alot of us young men inspiration not only to immitate his basketball IQ and moves but to try and carry ourselves with class and great mannerisms. This guy should be considered one of the greatest humans ever let alone a basketball player. MJ the greatest!!!🙏🏼
