Klever (USA) DMC World DJ Championship Final Sunday 24th September 2000 The Skyscape, Millenium Dome (The 02), London www.dmcworld.com www.dmcdjchamps.com dmcdjchamps dmc_dj_champs
One of the best right there. Damn i used to study the hell outa his sets, try and break them down and work out how he did certain scratches! Still amazes me good his flow is
Even up to now, you still cannot touch Klever on the Cut. Everything is so rhythmic and even hypnotizing, like a well thought out rap verse. His utilization of space between cutting the sounds is still impeccable, especially standing out of the West Coast “Flare” fest we saw in that 2000 US Finals with P-Trix, Jay Slim, Snayk Eyez, and Relm (a handful of West Coast guys competed that year). That year was a turning point of transitioning out of that West Coast style built by the Piklz and Junkies. I would also credit A-Trak and Craze for setting that bar so high in the late 90s, as the Battle Style became more aggressive, plus technical and such coming into the 2000s.
His 4 click flares in 2001 dmc routine are incredible. His timing and ability to create such variations with certain scratches is so damn good. Taking something that's been done a million times and making it sound that fresh and funky is insane. Klever was absolutely robbed in the 2001 world finals, and everyone knows it. I'm my mind he's definitely one of the best to ever cut

That intro was tough” where it goes “Bitch, then those guitar riffs come in, shit gives me chills everytime I hear it, and I seen this way back when it first dropped! Classic set man!🫡💪🏽
@@Sonnylintag...... Right?! Nice 1..... There will always be someone with an opinion that differs; A DJ that has made a few people say "He's the BEST!!" I totally understand, but sometimes, ALL OF US, should take a step back and look at why A DMC JUDGE went the other way...... THIS IS "NOT" ONE OF THOSE TIMES!!! Just watch CRAZES routine and how perfect it really is. LOL..... It's Cool tho..... I am Positive I have been wrong in the past where I thought I was 100% right..... ALSO, This is NOT ONE of those........ LMAO Take Care Sonny. Keep Mixing or if you don't spin, Keep Loving what you Love. Peace.
@@soneil12 WOW..... I have ALWAYS been one to give props where props are due, but it seems to me, that you and dezus don't follow that train. ANY YEAR THAT CRAZE WAS AT BAT IN DMC BATTLES, HE WAS BATTING A THOUSAND...... 3 FOR 3,,,, AND IT WAS FULLY EARNED, NOT GIVEN!! IF THEY WOULD HAVE ALLOWED MORE..... CRAZE WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE FOR MORE..... STILL BATTING A THOUSAND!!!!! Just My Opinion, but Millions of the SAME opinion, CANNOT be Wrong.
@@INTshyt .... See above. GaFFLe got it RIGHT!! If I didn't know any Betta, I would think you were Related to Dexta. So, Yeah,,,, um, NO!!! No-No-No, I Don't Think So.

At 4:42, ALL HeLL BREAKS LOOSE!
How the hell did he not place. Still one of the best routines ever
Dexta placed 2nd. Mr Thing placed 3rd with a strong routine. Klever came 2nd the year after in 2001, he probably should have got the win in 01.
@ Sonny..... Yeah, He Prolly should have placed, but I think we ALL KNOW Why he didn't WIN......... CRAZE - CRAZE - CRAZE - CRAZE.
@@kevinthebassfelon1304 Craze was so far ahead the best anyone else could do was get 2nd lol

Did he ever win this guy?
I always thought he was pretty good, & had his own style.
Never the world - he was USA champion though. Klever is 🔥 and people’s world champ 😎
2:00 TACK ID ?
Gang Starr ft K-Ci & Jojo - Royalty
I'll say it he got robbed that year imo
As dope as Klever was... NOBODY topped Craze's set... that set was one of the greatest of all times!
dexta shoulda won this year
Definitely Dexta.
I don't think Craze would have got it if he hadn't been going for third in a row.
