wisp takes crown as the most versatile character after wukong nerf, you see her everywhere.
It’s not that he’s the best, it’s that he’s comfy and accessible for new players.
Wukong doesn’t particularly excel in any area, including that of being a jack of all trades. The reason he’s used so much is due to accessibility, and ease of use.
His first ability is practically a set and forget that provides a bit of extra damage, and his 3 is something you activate once in a while for extra tank (unless you’re using niche damage setups). His 2 is the main thing you’re actively using, which is undeniably a good ability, but also doesn’t make up for the comparative lack of value in the rest of his kit.
He CAN clear any content in the game, but it’s hard justifying his place at the top when there are so many frames at this point that spec so much more into one of his niches, or just do it all better.
Frames like Wisp, Octavia, Volt, Revenant, Citrine and Gauss hold so much more value as all rounder frames in 90% of modern content, whereas Wukong doesn’t have nearly as much scaling value.
A bit of extra damage, and what i consider to be somewhat annoying methods of survivability don’t match up to the stacked kits of the other frames listed above (and way more!).
No shade to any Wukong users, this is all coming from someone who has Wukong at their most used.
There’s just no reason to use him past the early game imo, his kit has aged rather poorly- especially with the nerfs.
TL;DR,
Wukong is just overshadowed by other options and has nothing that really sets him apart in his overpopulated niche.

defy and cloud walker both clear status effects so rolling guard is not needed :) just read the wiki silly
thank you! I will make an updated build when i get some archon shards and more experience with the new content in the game, still lots of stuff i haven't tried out like the combined archon shards or whatever theyre called.

thats weird because I rarely seen any wukongs in last month (maybe about 2-3)
also my most used warframes rn are Saryn with Bloom, using her to clear my steelpath, arbitrations, focus farm eso
and Titania with Xaku's void infuse dmg, for archon/gargoyle event speedrun farm

I have a personal disdain on wukong and refuses to use him (currently mr22). My biased arse laugh everytime someone says wukong is a must have.
Personally would put Octavia on must haves. Versatile and can cheese through hard content. Fair warning, it might make the game boring.
She's great to clear missions at least once on. I hope she gets a rework that removes her stealth and taunt and instead encourages actually pushing buttons on the beat.
@@tjsnowow exactly the reason I think she's must have, even if you don't like her you can use her for things you cant clear normally.
I don't get what rework you want tho. Like casting skills on beat? Because you already do push buttons on beat 🤔crouch jump shoot melee for their respective buffs.

no, you need to get a wukong, you can get the bps from a clan dojo, he's fairly cheap to craft. (this is my opinion)

Revenant is great but he's so slow to catch up to other in fast mission he's great but slow
