Everyone looked at me like I was crazy when I said the anime was getting a video game made by inti creates. Here we are.
Good call
This is an excelent metroidvania for beginners of the genre. It has pretty much all the tropes, with a lot of quality of life elements that makes it easier if you need it (teleportation from the start, it marks were are chest to be found, it says when you can craft a new item, you can have up to 99 of each item so you can tank your way to the win if you really want to do so, etc). Solid and fluid gameplay, even though some of the mechanics are undercooked.
The bad part is that is super short, and the price point is a little too high. On another note, I thought it would have more music, considering the franchise, but what it has is fine enough.
Like I said, is perfect for beginners. Some people want to get into metroidvanias, but start with something like Hollow knight and get discouraged early on, without getting to experience the good things about metroidvanias
Perfect summary of this game. Fun for beginners but lacks challenge for vets of the genre…especially at $30 US!

Missed this one, came here after your Yohane deck builder video and will be grabbing both.
Picked it up on impulse and it's decent. Several other games I'd recommend first but it's not going to disappoint if you're into platformers.

I've never heard of this anime but this looks really interesting! I played Overlord: Escape from Naziwreck and really enjoyed that one without knowing anything about that anime either, so that won't stop me. This is definately going on my christmas wish list (from and to myself).

@@SwitchWatch i stumbled on Gunvolt 1 and 2 for the Switch looking on Amazon awhile back. It was on sale super cheap and i love pixel art so i just gave it a shot and I've been blown away ever since. Umbraclaw looks like it's gonna be pretty good too. I feel like there's something else their working on too.

@@SwitchWatch glad to hear. Honestly I prefer these games to play in handheld mode. I'll probably go with the switch version. Do you think it will sell fast? I ask as I always need to plan shipping items for playasia. I think it would be fine till sea of stars releases physically.

Play Asia as an Asian version listed but no Price … Will that be a thing or should I just get the Japanese version?
They sometimes do placeholders for Asian releases, but they don't always materialize.

Well ... tried to like that game and get into it, but ... no, it looks boring AF (!). It looks totally unpolished. Nothing really going on in the backgrounds and basically only switching from one screen to the next,
For that price tag ... the cash is better spend for other games ...
There already countless games out there exactly like this, I'd pick this up heavily discounted, but it does nothing new over the countless 2D metroidvanias.
