Tamiya Novafox in Action. It's the re-release of the iconic Tamiya Fox originally released in 1985. Installed motor: Tamiya Super Stock BZ 23T Battery: 2s lipo 4200 mA/h Product Info: www.tamiya.com/...
Man... Your videos capture the essence of these machines so perfectly. Amazing combination of film and music. Always makes me smile watching your productions 😁
I always thought The Fox was one of the best looking Tamiya. When I was a kid it it was between The Fox and The Wild One, I never had either of them but they were the ones I wanted most.
A stunningly well shot and edited action video as always from you Matteo, which present the feisty Novafox in its element masterfully. The Novafox proves one do not need 4WD to have fun going offroad, Tamiya have equipped the Novafox with exellent independent suspension with long wheel travel front and rear, and good balance, so it flies and land on its wheels in every jump. Shows that a simple and rugged buggy construction and design can have exellent terrain capacities, without being expensive. Todays high capacity batteries revive this 85' classic, and bring it up to date. Cheers.
I was obsessed with this car in the eighties. Great looking scale dune buggy. Monoshock in the front along with being way too light up front allows for it to have the front wheels off the ground most of the time. Not ideal but heck it's all kinds of fun so who cares. Tamiya cars are so much boxed joy. Everyone into rc should have one in their collection. Beautifully shot video. Cheers.
Hey there Matteo, what a great video. Sun shining, body gleaming, (at the start lol) wheels bouncing, sandy dust plumes off the tyres, suspension working overtime........ Freaking amazing. Love 😍 this video Matteo. The rig looks fantastic flying around the bumps. 😀 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍
You've got some serious passion and talent putting these videos together at such a pace! Now i want one of these too! Still waiting for my backordered pajero cc 01.. thanks again for an awesome video.
Nice video, thanks for sharing. Unfortunately I sold my Fox back in 1989. I regret that, because the car was just awesome to run with Technigold @ max gear ratio.
This is a great vid! Some outstanding following and tracking shots. That car looks quick so well done for steady work and a great edit!! Top marks. Well done!!
That incredible shot, beginning @ 3:2I, where we´re hugging the side of the buggy as it carries out an effortless, apparently endless drift; those wonderful jumps, in which we fly alongside the car throughout its heroic leap...no-one but Matteo gives us such exquisite footage : )
Awesome video! I've been taking a look at different buggies to get my daughter into RC. She's still very young (2 years old) but I want to get one ready for her when she's old enough to figure it out. I'm leaning toward a Hornet with an 80T crawler motor in it at first to keep it from getting away from her.
I had the "pleasure" of working on one of these buggies. This unfortunately isn't one of Tamiya's better designs, its a nightmare to work on these buggies.
Thanks ! Some real buggy action video! And it seems the Fox has some great flight quality ! must be of the position of the Motor... anyway, great to watch :-) ! best regards
I had one new , front end kept breaking due to single shock . Seems as though all ur videos the wild one and hotshot have superior suspension ( I had both them also and then the rereleases also )
Hi, I have never seen such beautiful RC videos than yours! Thank you! You do a remarkable job, awesome, it's allways a pleasure 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 Liked & subbed ... am in Switzerland too 😀
Aiii... meeega!! Wie kann Staub auch nur so schön sein🤪! Wenn ich das sehe, geht mir übrigens unsere Offroad Bashing Bahn wieder durch den Kopf🤨, wer weiss - vielleicht 2018🤗
Another really nice vid Matteo. :D I will get a Fox one day although I really don't like the whole "nova" thing so I just bought a repro Fox decal set for when I buy one. I have an original NIB Fox but I don't want to build it.
This is so awesome. I wanted to get a big wheeler, but seeing this I realize I need to get myself another buggy. It is buggies I love, they really are most fun. Matteo, which one of all your cars do you find most fun to drive? You have any favourite?
Yes, buggies are fun to drive. I by myself prefer at the moment some slower things, like scalers and scale crawlers. I like to go on a hike with them. Unfortunately Tmiya offers not so much cars in this category. (At the moment)
me again Matteo ; we wonder how you filmed so well ; did you use a gimball to have such a steady filming ? thank you for your reply. a good youtube chanel has replies to the commentaries and you're doing very well for 23k subscribers !
Thanks Stephane! I think it's important to stay in touch with my viewers and their questions and I try my best. No, I do not use a gimbal. Only the camera (GoPro) on a stick, hold it down and run beside the car. Gimbals are to heavy for me, the handling it's better without.
all Your videos are Great to begin with, but this one seems way more enjoyable... Don't get me wrong all your videos are GREAT but i think it is because this video has a lot of jumps in it. Please could you do more jumps in future videos?
That's what I was thinking of using, PS-59 looks pretty close too. I'm getting some original style decals from MCI, none of that "nova" crap on my Fox. :P
I had the standart esc from the kit in it. But it's too weak for the motor. After 10 minutes it needs a break to cooling down. I need a stronger one too.
@@Matteomeier 😂 yeah i thought that motor was bit to much for the standard tamiya esc! Was thinking getting that motor for mine but maybe try the gt tuned motor!👍
Here you can download the manual. From page 21 are all parts listed. So you can order what you need in the internet or in your local hobby shop. www.tamiya.com/english/rc/rcmanual/58577.pdf

Thanks Gerardo! 👍👍😊
The battery never lasted long enough!Love the video thanks!
Yes, fortunately todays technology allows longer runtimes... 👍😊
It's fantastic how it continues to go straight line even with the front wheels full turned right or left.
Great video! Tamiya Fox was my first hobby grade RC
Thanks Dan! Great memories are related with this models! 👍
Man... Your videos capture the essence of these machines so perfectly. Amazing combination of film and music.

I always thought The Fox was one of the best looking Tamiya.
When I was a kid it it was between The Fox and The Wild One, I never had either of them but they were the ones I wanted most.
Thanks for your nice feedback! Yes, both of them are gorgeous!
Great video!!
awesome nimble running, It's about to fly out in the air.
Thanks! 🙏😊

Thank you so much! Glad you liked this video too! And I agree, the Fox / Novafox is truly a well engineered rc buggy!
another Matteo Masterpiece! Makes me want to get my original fox off the shelf but then I remember it's winter outside and not beach weather lol!
Thank! Yes, snow chain weather! 😂
Excellent filming! Thank you for your great videos.
Many thanks Jonas! Glad you liked it! 😊👍
Und noch ein perfektes Tamiya Werbevideo. Die müssen dich doch inzwischen mit Prämien überhäufen. Immer wieder genussvoll anzusehen, bravo !

It was perfect, full of RC goodness! Thank you!
Amazing!
Thank you! Cheers! 👍
Matteo, I'd love to see you do a video with the Tamiya Falcon! That was my baby!
I was obsessed with this car in the eighties. Great looking scale dune buggy. I remedied the front shock problem by putting in a thinner gauge spring. Made a big difference
A great tamiya rc the nova fox and goes really well with a super stock installed great air time also another matteo master piece
Thank you so much madtopp!

Your killin me Matteo, every time I watch one of your videos my wish list gets bigger. Great work as usual, keep it up.
Sorry... But I'm glad you like it this much! 👍😊

Good stuff! Such a stable car. I have two originals. Both in need of some minor maintenance.
Thanks! Ohh, cool to have originals! 👍

Thanks Gilbert. Hope no injuries on your head!

Awesome bashing , excellent video .

You keep making great videos and I´ll keep watching and enjoying them while learning how to do it better myself : )

I think that Novafox with BZ motor and a 4200 lipo battery is very very fast !
Yes! 👍👍😊
Fantastic Matteo! 👍😀✌️👍
Thanks Tybo! 😊
Thanks ! Some real buggy action video! And it seems the Fox has some great flight quality ! must be of the position of the Motor... anyway, great to watch :-) ! best regards

I had one new , front end kept breaking due to single shock . Seems as though all ur videos the wild one and hotshot have superior suspension ( I had both them also and then the rereleases also )
Thanks Glenn! I see, you have a collection too! 👍😊
Excelent video as always! I really enjoyed it :-D

Aiii... meeega!!
i really love all the filming angles and proximity ! you are filming all alone ? driving with one hand and filming with the other ?
Thanks you so much! Yes, exactly like this.
Quality close up video man!! Make the promotional FOX video look second rate haha
Thanks! Glad to hear this! 👍😊😊
Another really nice vid Matteo. :D I will get a Fox one day although I really don't like the whole "nova" thing so I just bought a repro Fox decal set for when I buy one. I have an original NIB Fox but I don't want to build it.
Thanks! Wow, a NIB original Fox! It is very precious! 👍
nice car:)
Thanks! 😊
Question, how did the novafox run with the super stock bz motor? Was it quick enough for your needs?
Yes, it's very fast. But the stock esc from the kit is too weak for it. You should also upgrade the esc.
Stadium Blitzer next PLS ✌
Oh, no Stadium Blitzer in my Garage! 😢
lovely vidio as always. May I ask will the sand distory the bearings ?
Thanks.
Thanks! No, sand is not a problem. Water is a problem.
I understand that. Thanks.
Wow awesome video and awesome car! What camera did you use on roof of the car and how did you mount it?
Thanks! It's a GoPro 6, I mount it with adhesive tape on the roof.
show!! parabéns!!
Obrigado!
great buggy for the price its better than spending 1500 dollars or more one just one but there trail trucks i say super scale you know rc4wd
Thanks! But I love these expensive scale trucks though!
me again Matteo ; we wonder how you filmed so well ; did you use a gimball to have such a steady filming ? thank you for your reply. a good youtube chanel has replies to the commentaries and you're doing very well for 23k subscribers !

thanks again. here is the thread about your skills : www.reddit.com/r/rccars/comments/7kdswp/this_camera_work_is_incredible/ and merry christmas !
👍 Thanks! 😃
Nice video, but could you please do one on the frog!
Thanks! Yes, Frog is a grat buggy too! Was my first one back in the 80es! 👍😊
Love it. Is assembling tamiya RC difficult?
No, not so hard! Everything is well explained! 😊😊👍
@@Matteomeier How long you finished it?
I have about 8 hours.
@@Matteomeier the result is just perfect. 😃
all Your videos are Great to begin with, but this one seems way more enjoyable... Don't get me wrong all your videos are GREAT but i think it is because this video has a lot of jumps in it. Please could you do more jumps in future videos?
Thanks for your good feedback! I'm looking for good jumps in future videos! 👍
how do u control this thing...............where is the remote control
In my hand! 👍😊
I finally got around to buying one of these, which blue did you use for the body?
Thats great! I used Tamiya PS-4 blue
That's what I was thinking of using, PS-59 looks pretty close too. I'm getting some original style decals from MCI, none of that "nova" crap on my Fox. :P
Thats even better!
Which esc did you use with stock supper biz 23 turn. I have that same motor just need a strong esc for it as its got a lot of torque
I had the standart esc from the kit in it. But it's too weak for the motor. After 10 minutes it needs a break to cooling down. I need a stronger one too.
Great video as always. Where can you buy those dust covers for the motor?
Thanks! The dust cover comes with the motor. Tamiya Super Stock BZ
Can anyone tell me if this kit includes ball bearings?
The gearbox and rear axle is equipped with ball bearings. The front wheels not. For this you need 4x 1050 ball bearings.
Great video👍 what esc are you running in that fox?
Thanks! I running the stock esc from Tamiya. But it’s too weak for the tuning motor (Super Stock BZ) it getting too hot after a while and stops... 😂
@@Matteomeier 😂 yeah i thought that motor was bit to much for the standard tamiya esc! Was thinking getting that motor for mine but maybe try the gt tuned motor!👍
👍🏻👏🏻
👍😊
where can u buy the gear box? mine was shreded

Is the durability good?
Yes, it's good. But it's a vintage RC. Not the same performance as actual RC's
nice for all , why not Kaza time ? lol
Thanks! For me every time is Kaza-time! 😄
many thanks
Is it fast with stock motor? Great video! You got a Like and Subscription from me! Thanks :)
Not very fast, but still possible to have fun. Thnaks for like and sub! 🙏😊😊
