Hi Joe, Chauncey Phillips here to tell you I saw Gary Puckett open for the Monkees. Since it was the first time all four Monkees played together in fifteen years I forgot all about poor Gary. He did sing well though.
Hey Joe Nice Collection , i remember the Bride with Sting i hadn,t thought of getting the lp or maybe didn,t know there was one 🤔Anything Gary Puckett did was good , the first Union Gap lp you showed my brother had that where i first heard it , really good selection of songs on it 💢💥💫i specially like Gary Puckett,s version of Kentucky Woman 💥⭐🌟yes i don,t think Gary Puckett & the Union Gap put out a Bad album ⭐🙂🙂another really good vinyl album he had was "Gary Puckett and the Union Gaps Greatest hits " is a really good one has all his big hits and deep cuts , it has the song "Lets Give Adam and Eve Another Chance " , i always liked that song , always enjoy all his songs hes one of those artists that because of his unique sounding voice he could sing the phone book make it sound good🎼🎵🎶🎹take care thanks for sharing Rock on ✌👍
hi joe, those gary pucket lps look really nice, and at three dollars each you really can't go wrong. that bride lp looks cool as well, varese sarabande put out some nice quality cds and vinyl . i don't know if they are still around though. very nice finds again joe, thanks for sharing again, take care, rob
Hi Joe. cool Gary Puckett & the Union Gap records. Yeah I always liked 45rpm's as well, I have some pretty rare Beatles 45's albums as well. Yeah if you have to sell a record it's good to have the cd to fall back on. Cds are probably the next best thing to the record & doesn't take up as much room.
Hi Joe, I certainly do appreciate and relate to your vinyl purging dilemma, I have those Gary Puckett albums and I basically feel the same way about them as you - being borderline expendable. In my case, I just find that there is something endearing to me about those records and also the artwork on them. It is a period that I’m fond of from my childhood that I guess I like holding on to - for now, at least. The songs on them are pretty hit and miss, in my opinion “Incredible” is well.. not incredible, but to me, easily the best of the three. Take care..
Joe, That is amazing that you got those grat albums is sich great shape for $3.00 I understand what you mean about the transition and deciding what to keep and what not to keep. I am around the same age as you and I have been downsiing some of my collection, and Yes, I also bought some new things so it is a balance I guess. What do I really need to have and what I don't. Take care
Gary Puckett and the union gap - my favourite!😁 I also recommend “The Gary Puckett Album”… I think it’s his only solo album, but still amazing 50 odd years later!
My problem with Gary Puckett and the Union Gap is that they were a 5 piece group but because they played with an orchestra you really don’t hear the band members too well in their recordings. Even so, their first album is their best as far as I’m concerned.
Hey Joe, I have all of the Union Gap's albums. The one you're missing is called The New Gary Puckett and the Union Gap Album. I have a mono copy of Young Girl album.

I have 3 45's and one Union Gap album in my collection, so not too many. I probably should pull them out and play them!
My problem with Gary Puckett and the Union Gap is that they were a 5 piece group but because they played with an orchestra you really don’t hear the band members too well in their recordings. Even so, their first album is their best as far as I’m concerned.

Happy New Year! Good to hear from you.
Hey, Awesome Joe! I miss these. Something is better than nothing My Friend.
How do you feel about Morrissey's 2019 re-make of "Lady Willpower?" I really enjoyed it, doesn't beat Gary's version, but still very good.
Happy New Year! Been wondering where you've been. Perhaps unsurprisingly, I haven't heard the 2019 version.
Mm mm Columbia 2 eye!! I always liked G Puckett & U Gap👏🏻👏🏻in my younger dazes 😁
“M’Lady” was not a hit but it should have been.
Hi ya Joe👋🏻 like seein’ your 45s with picture sleeves! Sweeet
