I've been watching your channel for a little while, and just wanted to say that you've come so far with this channel! Pumped to see more, and thanks for sharing!!😀
Alway happy to receive such nice comments as yours! Thank you very much, Kyle Wong!
Awesome video thank you, I just ordered my a6400 will receive it this Thursday can’t wait to try your setup greetings from Seychelles 🇸🇨.
Cool! It is an awesome camera! Thanks for the support, Bernard!
Hey Mark, this is amazing! I am not surprised you came up with those adapters. You’re a genius! Well done 😊😊
Thanks so much:) Happy to hear that! And thank you very much for the compliment:)
you are very detailed in your videos with equipment and I think it is awesome. Keep it up!
Thanks for the compliments, Daniel Greene! Appreciate you taking the time to write such a nice comment:)
Fantastic video! Thank you so much for all the hard work.
You*re very welcome, Soso Melodies! Much appreciate the nice comment:)
You are a lifesaver with this a6400/ set up and how to videos. So glad I found your channel...subscribed!!!
Cool! Love to hear that:) thanks for the support, Louie S!
Man your production quality is legit now! Great video. Best ive seen on the a6400.
Hehe, thanks:) I am thinking about smartphones setups again though...:) Thanks a lot for the compliment! Much appreciate it, CaseClosedTV!
@@Mark10ProVideo Interesting smartphone setups? I wonder how your workflow would change!
@@stealthworx4371 I did that for the longest time actually when I started out. Not as versatile, but more simple to set up basically.)
Wow next level again, lots of time and thought resulting in a great product ....awesome
Thanks, Michael! How do you like working with the Osmp Pocket? I got one, too, but didn't get around to do videos for it...
good info!
that's best video for me that I've watched about mic mount for a6400
Love to hear that:) Thanks for the nice comment!
Love it. Thank you very much.
No problemo:)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts so well.👍
You*re very welcome, Mukhtar Alfuras! Much appreciate the nice comment:)
I had this design idea in my head for a while, but no access to a 3d printer. I cant believe Sony didnt include something like this in the box! The smallrig solution goes to the opposite side too which is less than ideal. This one is really nice.
I get why they did it, to have the mount on top but I was going for maximally compact anyway, so placing it vertically on the side of the mic input was a no brainer. Then again props to smallrig for offering the other solution. They pay attention.
That's a cool design, and the EMT-001 sounds that best.
It's the best out of the three bang for you buck wise. You do notice more dynamic range when doing voices with the other ones, especially the micW mini shotgun, but for vlogging the ETM-001 is almost unbeatable considering price and form factor. Thanks for the nice compliment:)
@@Mark10ProVideo i did notice but like you said, for the price and small size, i can live with that compromise.
i bought the Edutige 001 on your recommendation from one of your previous videos and i think for the size and price it does a pretty good job, but it is sensitive. thanks for your help..
It really is the best bang for your buck out of the three. But it is so sensitive that when it get veeery loud you are screw** with the sony because it does not have a mic limiter....you*re very welcome! Always happy to help.
May I ask if this setup would work with the videomicro or videomic ME with the deadcat without blocking the wide angle lens like the 10-18mm. Thanks. Great Work nonetheless.
Yes, it would. Since these mics are a little heavier than the tin ones from Edutige I would suggest also using the bendy wire to further secure the part to the camera. I now the video micro's deadcat doesn't show up, but I have to try it at home whether the Mic ME also won't show up...
Nice video and set up 👍🏿
Thank you very much, romar! Happy you enjoyed it!
Hello man. That idea is awesome, i liked it. I would like to buy one but i have the eos m6, i would like to know if you could make a version of it or if the A6xxx version could fit it. Thanks in advance
Thanks:) I can't imagine the thing fitting an eos m6, highly unlikely...I could do that thing for the m6 and m3 and but it would take me some time to finish and test as well......maybe this helps you out a little: czcams.com/video/4sSvPTE5IMA/video.html
Perfect video again! Greetings from Hungary!
Thank you very much, Joe! Appreciate the nice comment:) Greetings from Germany!
Great video. I was considering getting the Canon m50, but after watching your video, I think I'm going with the 6400. Question. How is the handling noise with the 008. I have a similar set up with my 008 and gopro7 and I get a lot of handling noise when I switch hands when Vlogging because there is no shock mount for this mic. I love the mic because it's so small, but the noise drives me crazy...Thanks..
It'll end up on the audio track when you rub the cam. With a selfie stick it's almost no problem in my experience. I'll do a vlog on the weekend and incorporate a test.
I had both and the 6400 kicks the m50's ass easy. M50 is a good camera, but If you have the money, the 6400 is a killer for youtube vlogging especially, but also a decent allrounder. Apart from not having IBIS it is superior to the A6500 in lots of ways.
Just bought the Orange one, now i got to buy the camera. :-) Great Parts and Video, Thank You!
Nice color combo! Thanks for the support! And thanks for the nice comment of course:)
Great and innovative as ever.
Thanks a lot for the nice compliment, Building Sheriff!
Wow you are the king of micro/mini series ups
would any of these mics be good for distant sounds in the same direction ?
Thanks:) Mh.....not really they're meant to be used for close range....
What you suggest for wedding? Eco in the church, omni dir. Recording, dancefloor etc
Mh...since you would want the ambience of the room I would either suggest you use a stereo mic, or a shotgun mic for when you*re close to the bride and groom - for the "yes". Mh....since the yes is important, probably, if you want to use only one....get a directional mic, aka shotgun mic, like the vp83 lenshopper or the rode videomic pro, or something like that. I suppose you can't put a mic on the bride and or groom or inbetween them. Like a tiny field recorder like the zoom field recorders...?
Freaking brilliant! I war waiting for someone to 3d print a solution. I don't use the a6400 but there are several things with my great a simple 3d pudding worl would fix. Way to go on this. The hack King!
Happy to hear that:) The 6400 really is an inspiring camera to me.....I wasn*'t feeling like vlogging for a longt time, but that thing changed it:) 3d printing is awesome!
@@Mark10ProVideo That's awesome!
Bro.. my audio/mic was so sensitive and cut out sometimes due to wind.. and I had the a6400 set to 1 with the 001 mic. I realized that I didn't have the foam windmuff underneath the deadcat. I hope this adjustment helps haha.
It hsould help y little. Then again there is onyl so much such tiny wind protection can do. Heavy winds will always be a problem. And the 001 is crazy sensitive that's true:)
let me know how it goes!
Do You get a dual channel audio record from ETM-001 in A6400?
It's mono audio, but the 6400 records it to both tracks.
awesome video and those custom parts look so clean! any chances you will make those for the M50?
Thanks for the nice compliment! Mucbh appreciated, Green Drop Media! Well the M50 doesn*t need it, because the screens flips out to the side, but I am doing them for the m3 and m6.
Hey man your videos are very informative. Can you please suggest me lenses for Sony a6400, one for travel photography and another for portrait?
Thanks:)
Portrait is easy. Sigma 56mm f1.4. hands down 100%.
Now travel...mh......depends on what subjects you prefer. If you're into architecture and landscape: 10-18 is great.
All purpose travel lens with good zoom range for stills and constat f.stop for video: 18-105 f4
If you like vlogging as well a good combo is the 16-70 f4 zeiss: Wide enough for vlogging, pretty usable with a selfie stick, nice background blur at 70mm f4 and a decent zoom range.
The more you can tell me about what you like to photograph, the better a reccommendation i can give you.
Greetings!
@@Mark10ProVideo i am into landscape and architecture photography and in videos, only b rolls, not into vloging.
Also, can you suggest a good camera as well (Apsc preferred for the budget)? Or sony a6400 is the best?
Some slowmo video capability would be great.
Buying now!
Cool! Thanks for the support:)
I deeply appreciate your channel and find the information unique. Obviously, your focus is vlogging, but I was wondering if you have suggestions for a stereo microphone set-up. I actually like the stereo sound of the A6500, B-roll, and travel, however, wind and standard in body sound could be approved. I would like your opinion for a stereo (like A6XXX) set-up for gimbal work (
You could hook up a field recorder like the zoom h1 for example and connect the line out to the camera if you like decent stereo audio.....
Thank you.
Very cool adapter. Lol I was wondering about the hat
Hehe:) Thanks!
can u use the rode videomicro on the adapter, is there space for it to fit?
It will fit just fine. But since it is a bigger mic I would suggest using the bendy wire as a second way to secure the mount.
Great hack, this definitely changes my thoughts on this camera, as first I was not considering it at all, but with these hacks, is a totally different camera. Although I'm really happy with my Canon SL2.
Keep it up with the great videos, buddy!
SL2 is an absolutely solid cam. The 6400 really is an inspring camera to my, wasn't keen on doing vlogs for a long time, but with the 6400 I am really feeling the need again:)
@@Mark10ProVideo go for it!
cant wait for 3d printed grip !
Video in pre-production:)
Buenas noches
Ya no esta a la venta este Micrófono MICW MINI-SHOTGUN.
¿En donde lo puedo conseguir?
Damn...maybe ebay.....other than that I don'T know. Maybe ask the menufacturer if they are still producing batches of it.
@@Mark10ProVideo Te lo agradeceré
Gracias
Just ordered mine. To make sure will it be strong enough to hold the rode video mic pro?
It will be strong enough for sure, but since it is a bigger mic I would definitely recommend to use the help of the little bendy wire. Thanks a lot for the support!
TubeNoob please can you make a video on how to attach bigger microphone
Great setup! Have you tried in on a gimbal and if so what do recommend?
I swear by the Zhiyun Crane plus. in my opinion the perfect gimbal for the Sony APSCs.
@@Mark10ProVideo One more question if you don't mind, couldn't get it from the video, where would I get that printed side mount? Just received my A6400 and about to order the Gimbal. Thanks so much!
Alright man, I finally bought an a6400 now I need all these accessories! And, I gotta catch up on all your a6400 vids! How much extra would it cost to print one with my channel name and logo?
Good decision!:) Well.....I would have to get my hands on an svg file that has your logo as paths, then I could switch it and upload a Ryan Schneider version:)
Wouldn*t cost more, you would simply order yours from shapeways like the rest:)
Is there another way to add an additional cold shoe for my aperture light? Or is that a separate bracket? I’d really like to buy from and support you!
Mh......the 3d drip offers two coldshoes one on top one on the side......but a cage is probably the option that makes the most sense if you need more than one piece of equipment attached to the camera. It is also cheaper than the grip.
GRIP: czcams.com/video/Nnx5RZhVZV4/video.html
Thanks for asking about the products though! Much appreciated!
Do you have a way to create an svg file with paths of your logo?
Hi, very nice mic option ! do you know if the 3D printed hot shoe mic adapter, fits to the Sony A6300 ? thank you :)
It will fit all the APS-C alphas, 6000 6300 6400 6500. Greetings!
@@Mark10ProVideo That's perfect, thank you :)
@@Mark10ProVideo I forgot to ask you, do you ship worldwide ?
@@scronier896It is shipped via shapeways, they do the complete fulfilment. You can select your country at the beginning of checkout. But they ship to a lot of countries.
@@Mark10ProVideo Thank you :)
Very good job 👌👍👏
Thanks, man:) Appreciate the nice comment!
Looks like a great products but shipping time frame is killing it for myself.. almost a month of waiting
Thanks:) Well, they have the best marketplace, so I went with them, but you're right it takes rather long.
Great video as always. I love this one. I don't understand why people use mics that are almost as big as their cameras for vlogging. the 001 is an awesome little mic. I bet you'll be drooling over the new sony RX0 II that just got announced. it's got a flip up screen, and stabilization now. It'd be a perfect little vlogging camera. That A6400 looks really nice though.
Thanks a lot, G Martin! Lot of work went into that tiny thing:) 001 best bang for the buck definitely. Sensitive as f*** though. If it gests really loud you do run into problems with the sony because it has no mic limiter...still the best tiny mic I know, one of the best at least.
The one thing that bugged me about the rxo and the new on is the 50cm close limit. Apart from that, cool Idea by sony and a different way to go. Cudos!
@@Mark10ProVideo FYI I bought a 001 because of a video you made. I love it so far, and yes, it's very sensitive. One of the review video's I saw said the RX0 II had a closer minimum focus distance. I think it was 20cm. Yep, I just looked it up and that seems to be right.
Cheers
this is great... hopefully will stop all the hate about" i cant put a microphone on my a6400 because i cant see the screen.".!
It should:) Because the 6400 is a great camera. it really is. Lots of little things have changed compared to the 6500 that really make it a cool vlogging camera and a different camera from the 6500. Thanks for the nice compliment as well of course!
I think you're set up is cleaner than the small Rig's one cuz your design doesn't obstruct the cable. Hope every a6400 user will buy one of this.
Now that would be super nice:) Thanks for the compliment, Anonymous Ted!
Rubber-Shockmounts made by You ? ...You likely would do a amazing job designing shockmounts for the edute 001 or 008 , and then you would never again need to promoto "cable clamps" again ! as far as i know and researched , there is 3D printer material close to rubber existing...
That is a good idea I was looking into, but the service I use to 3d print on demand does not offer such materials....I am thinking about a different solution right now though. I have 3d prjects coming, one of them is such a tiny shock mount:) Greetings!
Wow.... you print these yourself?
I do the design prototypes at home with much cheaper material and less resolution, but functional prototyping I do via shapeways.
you should design you own cable clamp too
I though about doing it in flexible material, but the heat resistance and the toughness aren't there. And I can't compete with chinese injection molded parts for price:)
Any prototypes for the Canon M6?
Didn't get around to do that, but I will, after the Grip!
TubeNoob awesome!!! Can’t wait.
Hi can I use it with Rode Video Micro?
Yes, it works:)
How?
What is the grip on that camera?
That is the design I will show you in the next video. It'S basically a fatgrip for the camera, with an arca swiss compatible plate that follows the design guidelines of my logo. edged and curved. I will do the video on that on the weekend. Greetings!
@@Mark10ProVideo oh, oke. Thank
Very cool! Where to buy?
I have a storefront on shapeways. The link is in the description. Thanks for the interest in the product:)
Do you sell the file to print alone? I have a 3D printer at home & could print it out :D
Sorry, I do not:) Maybe I should set that up some time.
TubeNoob if not the 3D file, maybe the gcode so that it can’t be tampered with & solely just to print out :) thanks for the videos!
Mh....that could be done.....do you have experience in seeling these files by any chance? Do you know a good platform to do so?
TubeNoob there’s a FREE slicer for 3D printers called Cura that allows you to set up the file to be printed & outputs the file as gcode for printers. This will allow people to print the file without having access to modify or edit the model. DM me if you have any questions. I would recommend contacting your source that prints it for you, they may just share the gcode with you :)
I use Cura. I meant a platform with an online store like shapeways jsut for the files. I will check that out a little...
Wow... I immediately thought that Sony's did a lousy job of anticipating complaints regarding it's flip screen/audio inputs. If they would have had something like this before they released the A6400 they would have nullified the biggest and most consistent complaint. I have bookmarked this. When I get an A6400 I will be sure to purchase.
Cool! Thanks for the support:)
That’s a great hack - will it work with the A6600?
Thank you very much:) Sorry, i don't know...I can try monday or tuesday. That's the nexxt time I can get my hands on an a6600...
TubeNoob that would be amazing - will order after your confirmation
