He riles up the harcores, but if you can’t grow beyond that (which he hasn’t despite his claims) you won’t last long in the UFC without a belt. The danger of his kind of brand is that the trash talk turns everyone off when you don’t follow it up. That’s why Conor’s trash talk was so successful, because he followed it up for a time with some amazing results. Then when the success rate changed it started to exhaust people and eventually turned him into a heel for all but his fanboys. If Colby can’t develop the persona of his character or find a way to a title it will be the death of his career. Skillset wise he should win this fight, but people saying it’s a career ended for Masvidal are crazy. If he loses this fight it’s far more dangerous for his career than the other way around.
