I couldn’t agree more about the nails. I keep my nails short and I can’t stand wearing nail polish on my finger nails for some reason. I always wear it on my toes but not fingers. Long nails and me don’t mix. 🙂

I collect Juliana broaches and Austrian jewelry and usually find it in antique sores, but its rare! So when I do find it, it's such a treat!
I have been making necklaces concentrating on aesthetic details only each one entirely different and I love to reclaim old beads where necessary. I have enjoyed this bag hugely, it fits my needs. I love that people may return to old jewellery, I have learned a lot and my necklaces will benefit. It has been so good to watch and hear your observations.

The strap that hooks onto the belt loop seems to be similar in many of the belt loop watches, but the watch itself is a Bill Blass.

Ok I love looking at and appreciating old costume jewelry is this something I could sell at a resale market? I can imagine setting up a booth and reselling vintage jewelry!
Absolutely!
There are many kinds, so many makers, and many many materials. So… do your research, get good pieces, and sell them for what they are truly worth.
I don’t have any experience with selling from a booth so I can’t speak to that, but EBay has been good as long has you stay away from, or learn to spot the scammers that file fraudulent returns, then try to keep the jewelry.

The fork bracelet, I’d switch a natural stone into it. Then it would be classic. What ever is in there looks dated. Love the black wrapped stone. Needs a nice chain. I’d cut the necklaces and save the natural stones and pearls etc. I’ve made a lot of long necklaces which you can double or triple around. Subtle design gets more money. Look at fashion trends.

@@BlessedBaubles I used to go the Barneys store and look at the handmade jewelry to get ideas. I stopped making jewelry because I have too much. Barneys is gone now. Maybe I should check Bergdorf Goodman for ideas. I have so many stone beads and glass beads. A semi precious rosary could be converted into a nice necklace. Collect the crucifixes and make a charm bracelet.

Rub what you think might be pearls . Scratch the bead against your tooth , if it feels like sea shell . It's real pearl..

Yes, I do use trays. I like the plastic TV dinner type trays. I line them with paper towels and stack them on top of each other.
But as I’m making a video, I’m thinking… “maybe they want to still see the piece for a while?” So I leave it in view.
Maybe, as I get a little more comfortable, I’ll try the trays right in the video. Sounds like a great idea. 💡 👍🏼

Great bag you got. Would like to know how/where you will be selling your finds. You definitely had some great pieces. Need to give length of necklaces/ earrings/ bracelets. Though some look big on screen it can be deceiving. Might be good if you could speed up just a little.

@@BlessedBaubles this came from good will box. It says it’s # 1 box. You tested it and the said stone is tanzanite. It is a large stone wrapped in silver bands. I collected some tanzanite and I know it is very valuable. It rates better than diamonds.

Your fingers are getting smudged as you handle them. How do you clean the jewelry for resale?
I clean and scrub everything! Including my fingers.
When I was first making these videos at the start of my CZcams channel, i didn't know that I could pause my video, go get a wipe, wash my hands, etc., then paste the bits of video together in iMovie for a final video product. I thought I had to keep the recording going the whole time or the video would stop.😂
So... I apologize for this lack of knowledge in the beginning of my CZcams content creating.

@@BlessedBaubles Some small jewellers repair any kind of jewellery, even costume jewellery. Also if the loop is broken, remove 1 pearl and use the loop exposed from the other pearl. If you show me a close picture of the two sides of the damage I may be able to explain how to do it 😊 you just need the small craft tools.

I went to the video to see what you were referring to and that’s cool that the alternating stones of grayish blue are drusy.
The way the artist painted on them is quite beautiful!
Its a very heavy bracelet too. And a lot of natural beautiful rose quartz and another stone!
Unfortunately, the poor baby had one of the elastics break so I taped the elastics to the big chunk of rose quartz to keep it from unraveling any further until it can go to the Jewelry Hospital and get fixed by someone, or repurposed.
Its certainly too heavy to put into one of my jewelry jars, and I have no idea what to ask for it, so maybe I’ll add it back into part 3 and see if someone feels bad for the sweet beauty and wants to buy it. Lets hope.

I don’t think anyone can tell you how to get boxes like these because they are all a gamble and not all the same by any means. But you can look at the pics of the auctions and try to go by those. That’s what I do.

Hello my friend, the way to know if a pearl is real is to put it between your teeth and scrape gently if the pearl is gritty, it is real, if it's slides straight off then you know it's fake. I know this for a fact as my stepdad was a jeweller. Take care and happy hunting.

What does it tell you if the “stones” are cool to the touch?
It at least tells you that they are not plastic or lucite, so we can then try to figure out what kind of glass or stone it might be. It’s just one clue to many clues we go by.
But not all stones that aren’t cool to the touch should be discounted. There’s a lot of wonderful plastic vintage jewelry, lucite moon glow jewelry, etc., that’s a great find!
Also, real Amber isn’t cool to the touch.
