  • Hello Everyone I'm your Arun Manoj Kumar
This is My new CZcams Channel named as ‪@backonofficial‬
Content : In this Video, I discussed about the conclusion statements of Maestro Ilayaraaja's Musical Royalty Issue.
Recently, Superstar Rajinikanth's next film is titled 'Coolie' which is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The title teaser of the movie 'Coolie' was released and it left the fans in awe. In the title teaser of 'Coolie' composed by Anirudh, the song 'Vaa Vaa Pakkam Vaa' from Ilayaraja's film 'Thangamagan' has been recreated.
Maestero Ilayaraja has sent a legal notice to the makers of 'Coolie' for using his music in the film without the permission of the music director. In the notice, it was mentioned that the original owner of the song 'Vaa Vaa Pakkam Vaa' and the music featured in the teaser had not received proper permission from Ilayaraja. It is criminalized under the Copyright Act, 1957. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is a special allegation in the complaint as he is regularly involved in such activities. Lokesh Kanagaraj did not get permission from the music director for the song "Vikram Vikram" which was featured in the earlier film Vikram. Similarly, there has been an allegation that the music of "En Jodi Manja Kuruvi" song featured in the film 'Fight Club' produced by Lokesh Kanagaraj has been reproduced without permission. Ilayaraja has requested the makers of 'Coolie' to get proper permission to use the song 'Wa Wa Pakkam Wa' featured in the title teaser or remove the music from the teaser. Ilayaraja's notice stated that if they do not do so, they have full right to take legal action.
Also Maestro Ilayaraja has issued a notice to the producers of the Malayalam movie "Manjummel Boys" for using the song composed by him for the Kamal Haasan-starrer "Guna" (1991).
The notice is addressed to Soubin Shahir, who also played a pivotal role in the film, as well as Babu Shahir and Shawn Antony of Parava Films.
Ilayaraja claims to hold all the legal, moral, and special rights over the song "Kanmani Anbodu Kaadhalan."
"Our client reserves the right to initiate appropriate legal actions for such improper and unauthorized usage of the song in the said cinematographic film, which is his original musical work," said the notice.
And finally our Maestro Ilayaraaja can't claim any rights over Tamil songs, Echo Company of Madras High Court argued that Musician Ilayaraaja, who has not entered into any agreement with the producers regarding the copyright, cannot claim any rights over the songs. Ilayaraaja's arguments in the appeal case filed by Echo company claiming the right to use 4500 songs of Ilayaraaja have been postponed.
