My uncle Mitch used to watch Hill Street Blues. I remember how he'd sit in front of the TV and eat sunflower seeds. You've been gone over 10 years Mitch and I still think about you all the time. Thanks for being who you were.
We have all seasons here, our 15 year old loves it (we are in the second season) like I loved it when I was 15 back in the 80s. What it has in common with Taxi and Cheers is the warmth this show has. I do not see that in any series past 1990.
They were so delightful together in this interview; i believe they had chemistry. I loved the show, still watch replays on dvd. So much i could say. Lovely people, all the actors. 🔥💜
She was right about there definitely being an audience for this show. No other mainstream weekly show to that point had attempted to portray urban police life in such a realistic manner, and of course this show inspired many others that came after.
I had the hots for Michael Warren/ Bobby, Renko's cop partner. I saw a cast get together interview that was probably done in the '90's...they were all so interesting but sadly without the brilliant Michael Conrad, and other Hill Street greats who had passed. But curious why Daniel Travanti and the lovely Lucy actress were'nt present ? 🤔💙🚔
The best tv series of all time. No other comes even close! And it stands the test of time. Every other series feels like Bold & Beautiful compared to Hill St. Humans are getting dumber and dumber all the time so they don't have to (nor they could) make intelligence series anymore.
Great series...excellent acting...liked all the characters but my favourite was the Bruce Weiss? character...a bit of an outsider but got the job done.
He was my absolute favourite too. I was so pleased when the young, uniformed officer became his girlfriend, followed by fatherhood. Seeing the gentle side of Belker was always such a treat.
Joyce Davenport always had this look that she was going to bust out laughing--because half her work involved silly people. You can see Veronica Hamel has that humour she brought to the role.
Best show that was ever produced! Love these two. And Veronica was right, it was for an intelligent audience!
I miss that show. These two worked together very well and Veronica Hamel was just beautiful..
Great show, very human characters wonderfully played by fantastic actors and actresses, and gosh, Veronica Hamel was gorgeous
I loved Hill Street Blues. I watched it all the time back in the 80's.I watch the repeats now all the time. Brings good memories back.
I met James B. Sikking (Lt. Howard Hunter) in the airport. He was traveling with Hal Linden (Barney Miller) they both autographed my plane ticket
What they like to meet.

My fav show also. ⚘️

Well, Barney Miller of course.
I still love the show
but nobody showed their ass
Having these two on your program and than say "we're running out of time"!
Best part of the show is when I get close with Veronica
❤ me fascinaba la ambientación...como lidiaban con un medio cosmopolita. Fue solo en eua...no es america!
Does anyone remember hearing that these two were a real-life couple back in the day?...
Never a couple. Travanti never married
No.They would of made a good couple though. Both have nothing but good things to say about each other.
@@emeyer6963 I think not. Dan was in a long term relationship with another actor. The scenes in bed are called ‘acting’
@@emeyer6963 So true! - they had great chemistry back in the day. I still love to watch them on DVD after all these years...
They were really close but not married
I Love them as a couple on this show. Great American Story
Hill Street Blues was the second best show ever made only to Cheers.
Hill Street Blues was Mash in a police station. Drama on a tightrope with comedy.
CHICAGO!

Mick Belker was Bruce's character.
Found him irritating after a while. That growling got old.
He was my absolute favourite too. I was so pleased when the young, uniformed officer became his girlfriend, followed by fatherhood. Seeing the gentle side of Belker was always such a treat.
Fyi auditioned for Kelly Garrett in Charlie's Angels.
The Councillor and the Pizza man ! Better than majestic !
Counselor.
Chicago, right???
Intelligent and entertaining. 100% right, and should be the goal of entertainment.
It was Ovious Hills Street blues was going be based in New York.

I love beautiful Veronica Hamel and her smoker's voice! Her slacks could have been tighter.
