Poor moose! LOVE Pod, tons!
I haven’t listened to the Pod Bros in about a year or so. They were the voice of reason and a mental life preserver for me back in 2016. The times have changed and they’ve gotten more and more commercial and cringy. They lost me and were tedious to listen to. After tonights appearance I’m going to listen to the Pod again. I ordered the book as well. Maybe it’s me that changed and not them? IDK? Welcome back to my listening schedule Pod Bros Inc. 💙

@@naylas3908They became tedious and repetitive. Almost parodies of themselves. Truly did not evolve in the post-trump years. Once Brian Beutler resigned the operation went downhill. The original vision Crooked became diluted and impotent.
I mean they’re better than, say, “Morning Joe.” I just forward past the commercials.
I love them, and am happy that they’ve created such a successful company. As far as their pods, one of the things I love is how they can laugh and have an obviously good time with one another even when discussing serious, important topics.

You know... trying to find these segments all in the right order... It's like trying to find that proverbial needle.... Just saying. 😋
Two things I’ve found help. First, if you’re subscribed, you can go to the channel and start at the bottom of the series. Second, once you find the first one, or if he mentions it in another segment, use the thumbnail at the end.
But the real question is....why does Colbert torture his audience this way every single time??? I find myself asking "What would Dave do?" Probably take the boys up to the roof and dump a watermelon onto the street? Buy sandwiches at the deli? Do voter registration on 53rd Street? He would definitely have some moose related sporting events.

If we placed more value on history and social studies and civics instruction in our public schools, maybe pod cast guys wouldn't have to teach civics to the nation. A how to book on how democracy works, yikes!
However, I am SUPER grateful that they are teaching civics. All media should be doing this job, filling the gaps in knowledge that allowed our electorate to get to this place. A democracy depends upon an educated citizenry, and this is what we just don't have enough of anymore. It's terrifying that potentially half of our nation cannot spot an obvious con artist and demagogue. Civics instruction should be a national mandate, because frankly i worry that some states actually want undereducated voters. Just saying.... 💙🌊💙🌊

Not enough time and substance with these guys. This was an opportunity to reach people who don’t know about or listen to their podcast, and Stephen didn’t take advantage of that.

I love these guys, and what they do, and what they stand for, and I'll be watching for a newish copy at a used book store this fall. 😉🙃 See, I don't buy new if I can help it, since so many books end up at used book stores and even thrift stores, and if they're not bought there, they usually end up in a landfill, since not enough places have facilities to recycle the book paper.
It's a bummer, but that's why I try to keep at least one copy of a few books out of the landfill. And I will DEFINITELY want this book!
I suggest everyone watch these guys on CZcams! They're fandamnedtastic!

I like these guys and appreciate their efforts to explain our political system for everyone to understand BUT the idea that 3 white middle-aged wealthy men can have a 10 point plan to save democracy is what is wrong with our democracy. No input from minorities, women, seniors, children, immigrants, the poor basically the majority of people who live in this democracy?! Not great.
Listen to their podcast and you might come to different conclusion.

When Steven asks why people are tired of the last 8 years of politics, the answer is not a tired redirect to blame Trump. The real answer is people are tired of the current administration. If you were tired of Trump then why do you speak so much about him? It's this horrible administration that so many people are tired of.
Terminally liberal pundits are hard to bear already, but when these guys smugly act like they're political consultants and play defense for trash Dem politics with very shallow analysis, I just have to turn it off.
