Girl you did your research well! I am Trini and you have passed the test with “flying colours” 💯. This is the favourite of most Trini’s including myself. ❤️🇹🇹🇬🇾
Yayyy 😁 happy. Thank you
A trini in the house..looks great..I personally like to add ginger to this..but u did an awesome job..
@@jenifferkhan-beal1886 I do add ginger sometimes too. It was blended in the green seasoning used to season the chicken tho so it's still in there. Thank you for stopping by. 😊
@@candythaglamcook awesome yes...keep up the great job 👏
I am a Jamaican and I love this dish very much.
Awesome. It's very delicious 😊
Lady I will not lie, you can cook. I am Jamaican and I like ALL tasty foods, I started cooking from age 5 frying eggs and plantains. I am a senior citizen now so you know I have years of experience in the kitchen, I am not easily impressed because I learned from my grandmother, and my mother in law who were excellent cooks they made mouth watering dishes. Since then I have never seen anyone cook with such passion and love as you do I can almost taste and smell your food. You made me fall in love with cooking again, especially the turkey! I love turkey but never made it your way before. 😋👍🏽🇯🇲🇨🇦
Oh wow that's awesome and I know exactly what you are talking about because I'm the same way. I started cooking very young I don't know everything but I know enough which makes it hard to impress me unless the food is amazing. My husband tells me all the time I should not go out to eat because I'm never satisfied 😀 always complaining. I can immediately tell if something is good by the Ingredients used. I love when I can relate to people and they can relate to me. I truly appreciate your feedback thank you for your support and don't be a stranger, one love sister 😊❤
Girl!!! Like a true Trini. All you missing is some seasoning peppers and a Zaboca. Luv it😙
Yes yes lol we don't get the Pimento peppers here but you are right. Thank you for stopping by 😊
Cooked this pelau today, as per your detailed instructions. The result was a very tasty, delicious pot of pelau.
And yes, cooking pelau requires burning the sugar. Who says otherwise????
I've tried some of your other dishes and all came out very tasty. Thank you Maam. Was in Guyana in 2014. Guyanese can cook!!!

What if you don’t have access to the cassareep? And can’t use mushroom seasoning?
I love your channel!!! I've made several recipes already. I can NOT find diced pumpkin anywhere. Is there something else to use or can I just leave it out?
You can use butternut squash or just leave it out just add extra carrots. Thank you so much for your support appreciate it. Have a wonderful day 😊
Thanks so much headed home now to cook lol

Can you cook the chicken in liquid that long...you pan seared it, then you cooked it with the veggies then another 30 minutes
Yes it was perfect not too soft or tough.
Super 👍 😋 👏
Thank you
Do you have to add pumpkin? I dont really like the taste of it.
No you don't. You can add whatever you like.
You cook with alot of salt 🧂
Do they call pigeon peas something else in America?
I'm not sure but I found it under the name pigeon peas.
Really I couldn’t find it in the supermarket here. I checked the international aisle too
@@roca3874 I used the can type by Goya Goya also has it in the dried version.
@@roca3874 check again and this time look for Goya brand if you still don't find it. Maybe they are out of it.
@@candythaglamcook ok I will check thanks candy
That’s a lot of habanero do your kids eat spice? My daughter refuses to eat anything with spice and I love spice!!! No cookup no curry no chowmein 😭
The peppes don't pop I remove them if I notice they're going to pop so the food don't become spicy my hubby and kids can't take the heat. All the peppers are for me😀
Stop cooking with sugar food don’t need sugar to taste sweet never know my mother cook meat with sugar
Get from here with that nonsense. Cook your food the way you like it and let people do what they want.
It's not cook up rice
